Ealing 14 - Hartpury 0 13' - Ealing have had most of the possession and have largely made meters at will. Hartpury had one solo wonder run of 50 meters that was ruined by their man dropping the ball 20 meters out with no one in front of him. He will have nightmares of that.

Ealing 19 - Hartpury 14 32' - ill discipline has let Hartpury back into the match as they have went down the pitch on penalties 3 times, scoring twice. Very nice lone out move for the second.

Ealing 26 - Hartpury 21 HT- Ealing looked to be pulling away, with a quick score then a 5m line out. The line out went long and was hacked down the pitch, then Hartpury won the foot race to score at the half. Big swing.

Donny stretch the advantage in the last play with a planned penalty kick, from whim we scored.

Caldy score with last play. Blues looking good (Caldy not so with basic errors) and Blues go down the slope 2nd half

Ealing 43 - Hartpury 21 66' - Ealing have brought on some strong subs and started to take control. It would be well over 50 if the line out functioned

FT Cambridge 24 (1) v 57 Chinnor (5). Very well done to Chinnor, dream result in first ever Champ game. Terrible start for Cambridge, leaking nine (!) tries at home to the new boys and only securing a TBP at the death, questions will be asked.

FT Bedford 45 (5) v Caldy 19 (0). Was only ever going one way this one and job done for the Blues. Caldy given another lesson about what is needed at this level and will just be looking forward to getting back to Paton Field and a W vs Cambridge next week.

FT Blues 45-19 Caldy
Blues didn’t see much of the ball 2nd half and were playing with 12 for some of it too and 13 for 9 mins. A bit harsh.
