Bedford sign winger Alfie Garside from Bath Bucs team. Hopefully he’s as quick as his brother.

An out (of sorts).
Lock forward George Smith, who left Cov during the season to try his luck in the NFL Pathway program, has signed for Northampton Saints.
Seriously big unit who could well go on to bigger things, and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he does.
I wish him well.

Blues are short of locks, I wonder if he will get some game time with us. Although Saints seem impressed by him!

Probably means you'll get him or Lockett for a while.

Both are massive.

And Saints have signed a lock from Saracens.

I find it incredibly worrying to read how many players are leaving Ampthill with the club’s website not mentioning diddly squat.

Perhaps I've jumped the gun. Are we supposed to wait until the current club announces a departure before confirming the signing?

You have not jumped any gun. It’s not anything you have done wrong. My issue is with the powers to be at Ampthill for not announcing anything. I think I have now read on this forum that the best part of ten players have now left.

It is the same every year at Ampthill they don’t announce very much, players leave and the club they join announces which is how you get to know. Then once pre season starts Ampthill start announcing who has joined. Doesn’t make any difference anyway, they ‘the powers that be ‘know what they are doing  what they don’t sign, they get from Saracens any way .

I'm confused then. Yesterday he said he was moving to France for 24/25  - or is there another Tom Pittman?

Looks pretty clear-cut from a social media post on Friday:

Tom Pittman
@tompittman78
Delighted to have signed for C’Chartres tor the 24/25 season.
I’ve always wanted to play rugby in France and experience a different culture. To now have an opportunity to do so, I’m very thankful.
A big season ahead, let’s go!

Also announced by C'Chartres rugby on social media, with a video of TP speaking French on Facebook - from the horse's mouth!

Sorry guys - this popped up on Facebook a day or to ago. I guess it must have been an old post from last season - and wishful thinking on my part!
