Good to see 'Bodes' back in the game having quit Donny in Feb. Reunited with Alex 'Razor' Rae - the pair were together in Jersey from 2013-16 when Boden, the older man by 3.5 years, was forwards coach and Rae captain. Boden then joined Leeds, Rae retired from playing & took over as the Reds' fwds coach for a year before going to Bedford (where he was player-coach to begin with) and then - in 2021 - Cov.

Bedford re-sign 2nd row Alex Woolford. That’s all of the last years squad accounted for one way or another. So far we’ve lost 7 (one starter, 6 squad players), but only signed 4.

Arthur Lennon is the latest recruit to join Cambridge’s Champ rugby challenge.
The 26 year old fly half/full back has spent time at HartpuryRFC and played for Stade Langonnais in France and CR La Vila in Spain, as well as Wales and GB 7s.

Squad is currently 22. I suspect a few more will come in the coming months as did last year. It is more that the signings this year are pretty much all unproven.

What I get from that is that England would collapse without Ampthill But I may be biased.

Cambridge winger Kwaku Asiedu moves to Letchworth Garden City in Regional 1 to reconcile family, work and rugby commitments. Good fortune Kwaku.

He was a prospect when in the Cov academy, but never made the step up. Saw him play for Ampthill against Cov and looked lost. Obviously the move to Cambridge at level 3 worked well, but that seems to be his level to be fair. I agree; he should score absolutely loads now.

Ealing sign fly half Dan Jones from Scarletts. Very experienced 28 year old campaigner with over 150 URC appearances at age 28. Good replacement for Ealing given that they lost two and a half fly halfs (Shingler, Lancaster, and Twelvetrees). Their lack of depth at 10 was a serious factor in not beating Leicester.
