Thought he'd continue playing tbh. Maybe he's registered at Hartpury?

Linking back to Gloucester which I guess is only right, he spent many years there.

Think he was commuting from Cheltenham when he was playing for Ealing last year, with a young family I suspect that heavily drove the decision to be closer to home. We all expected to see him coach a season or longer at Ealing after hanging up the boots, alas he didn't hang around, but wish him success at Hartpury.

Nothing to do with Ealing as far as I can tell. |

Bedford sign centre Joel Matavesi permanently, who had previously been on loan from Saints. The press release makes it sound like he will be our backup fly half (we only have Maisey after Grimoldby signed for Cambridge) which is concerning because he’s an excellent hard running centre but doesn’t strike me as a natural fly half.

Now confirmed that he's turning out for Gordon Highlanders. Still no word from Cov though.

Here's hoping Pat has a great career ahead of him, and it would be good to see him back in England at some point.
He's been magnificent for Cov - and a pain in the a*se for the rest of the division 😉

An interesting article in this week’s Rugby Paper about eleven of the twelve Championship clubs’ new signings and departures. The one exception is Ampthill. This happens every year and is very frustrating. Perhaps someone in the know at the club can explain why they continue to stay silent for so long?

The answer is very simple Ampthill are waiting on Saracens to confirm loan players, Last year Ampthill had up to 10 Saracens players on loan.

Cynical, but there could be a scintilla or more of truth in this 😄
