Congratulations Cambridge.
Founded 1923. Nice way to start your second century. Any book celebrating your centennary? Maybe that nice Mr Archer should write one…

As a old geezer, who needed to be up in the morning, I slunk away at 9:00 - but the party was really only getting started. Nobody wanted to leave the pitch. A tribute to a lot of hard work, by the players - including those who only got a little match time but travelled as a reserve every week - the coaches, the medical team and the committee. And they were all humble enough to thank the fans for watching. Best wishes to Rams and Sale, who pushed us so hard this season, and to Moseley who did their best to spoil the party, but - after Cambridge settled into their groove - were simply unable to stem the tide. Cambridge had a lot of early pressure, but contrived to fluff their lines, so Moseley opened the scoring, Dan Lewis taking the opportunity to kick a penalty. But once Cambridge got the first try, the scored a point a minute in a mix of forward power and pace from the backs. So, a new adventure for the 100th season. How many games will we win, we will see.
