This weeks match ups are:

Ampthill v Caldy
Cambridge v Coventry
Hartpury v London Scottish
Bedford Blues v Nottingham
Ealing Trailfinders v Cornish Pirates

Doncaster Knights playing Edinburgh A

Some interesting games this week.  If the weather is dry the game of the week will be the battle of the backs!  Blues at home should win this but it could be 55 - 49!

Blues have a weird situation where we have only played 1 away game in the league so far at Pirates.  Next week is Ampthill, so almost another home game.

Is that home or away?
Edinburgh fans won't be used to away games they can get to apart from the obvious.

Home. Seems like tickets are going well though. Sure I saw that there were only 150 seats left available in the stand.

Not surprised. Scottish rugby fans in England don't often get a chance to see their lads play.

And yes, should be a very good crowd

Ampthill 5-2 Caldy. Always a close encounter.
Cambridge 1-5 Coventry. But this depends on which Coventry team turn up.
Hartpury 3-3 L Scottish. Totally impossible to predict until the Scottish team is announced.
Bedford 5-2 Nottingham. Possibly the most entertaining game of this round.
Ealing 5-2 Pirates. Ealing to win but their defence leaks tries so it will be close.
Always trying to stay bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

Blues team, would have preferred Day to start, but some experience at the end it probably wise.  Smith returns from Saints. Think it is Jamie Elliott who is 13 as the website text + X and website contradict.

Bedford Blues starting XV:

15. Matt Worley, 14. Sean French, 13. Jordan Venter / Jamie Elliott, 12. Michael Le Bourgeois, 11. Dean Adamson, 10. Will Maisey, 9. Archie McParland (S); 1. Joey Conway, 2. James Fish (C), 3. Oisin Heffernan, 4. Robin Williams, 5. Luke Frost, 6. Joe Howard, 7. Henry Pollock (S), 8. Cameron King

Bedford Blues Replacements:

16. Robbie Smith (S), 17. Jamie Jack, 18. Bryan O’Connor, 19. Jordan Onojaife, 20. Kayde Sylvester (S), 21. Kieran Curran, 22. Alex Day, 23. Louis Grimoldby

Ealing Trailfinders lineup to face Cornish Pirates:

Ealing ring in the changes after their poor performance at the RAG. Cornish is the best lineout thrower of our hookers, so I like that change. Rayn Smid is crucial for marshalling the troops, so also glad to see him in the side. The change that concerns me is Dan Lancaster at 10. He has real spark and talent...but his kicking leaves much to be desired.

1 Kyle Whyte

2 Matt Cornish

3 Biyi Alo

4 Bobby De Wee

5 Barney Maddison

6 Jordy Reid

7 Richard Hardwick

16 Henry Walker

17 Sami Mavinga

18 George Davis

19 Danny Cutmore

20 Simon Uzokwe
