I've been working 60-70 hour weeks for the last couple of months in the run up to the end of the year. I finally have more than a minute to come up with my predictions. Likely to lead to a dip in form. Bedford 5 - 0 Cambridge - Bedford struggled in the mud vs. Chinnor, but I think they'll have plenty at home to deal with Cambridge, even with the Blood and Sand coming off of a win. I believe Dean Adamson is back and healthy. Ealing 5 - 0 Caldy - Provided that Ben Ward doesn't perform some insane rotation, we could expect another cricket score as Ealing seem to be extremely in-form at the moment. Scottish 2 - 5 Chinnor - depends a great deal on how many dual reg turn out for Scottish. I'll go for a strong away win by Chinnor, with maybe 3 Alun Walker flop over tries. Nottingham 1 - 4 Coventry - I think Cov will have something to prove in this match, and will grind out a tough win. Ampthill 1 - 4 Pirates Doncaster 4 - 1 Hartpury - I suspect this will be a tight match that comes down to whoever takes the points. Donny to edge it at home on the strength of the Cow Pies.

Blues 5-0 Cambridge - Blues to come out firing, disappointed by Cambridges refusal to play on Boxing Day, still it looks a sell out with just 500 tickets remaining.
Ealing 5-0 Caldy - Banker Scottish 4-1 Chinnor - think this will be tight Nottingham 1-4 Coventry - could go the other way Ampthill 0-5 Pirates - only one winner here for me Doncaster 1-4 Hartpury - could go the other way but Hartpury are doing well this season

I am disappointed that Bedford leant on Northampton to get them to withdraw our loan players. Not that I like the fact we have loan players. |

Ealing Trailfinders to face Caldy: I like this team selection. What I like even more about Ealing this year is that they are playing a lot more young guys instead of journeyman. For example, great to see David Douglas Bridge and Lefty in the starting lineup.

I think they would be able to get into the 6’s at least, I know some people already looking for tickets! If the ground has more of the Doncaster terrace you may be into the 7’s, as those standing could see easier, especially if Northampton were also away. There are a number of floating supporters between the 2 and between Christmas and New Year people want something to do. Going back a number of years ago, pretty sure we got 5,500 on Boxing Day, when we still had the extra temporary stand when Saints & Quins were in the division. |
