I still can't get my head round playing on Christmas Day.
(Don't even like Boxing Day games TBH. The thought of going to a match while seriously under the 'day before' weather makes me feel slightly ill. Yes, I know all about the W. Mids derbies of yore Wink).

Welford Road, Tigers v Barbarians was always a great rugby occasion, mixing in the pubs and on the terraces with Internationals of the day and a great game to watch, biggest casualty of the amateur game for me.

There were probably at least as many internationals involved in the W. Mids derbies of the seventies, TBF Wink
