Nuns have announced new coaching lineup for next season. Danny Wright moves up from the Colts to coach the side with Elliott Brown coaching the backs after hanging up his boots. Robin Hislop will be coaching the forwards while balancing time with Wasps |

I would've thought Danny would be well placed to coach the forwards. No?

I was surprised with the new setup. Hoping for a better season as the tough start did not help and was playing catchup.
Be interesting to see how the promoted sides go. Will it still be 3 down from this level?

Hiya Section19,
I am just ticking down the days till the season starts I do not know why Nuns announce re-signings but a couple new signings have been announced. I do not know to much about the promoted sides but hoping we can have a better start to the season and not in a battle to stay up.

. It suggests to me that these are players who have signed a contract to play at the club, presumably indicating that they are receiving a fee. At least that’s how it reads to me. As Club Secretary (we’re in Regional 1 North West) I know that our first XV squad have continued to pay their membership subscriptions and will be eligible for selection next season. We choose not to pay players but see similar (signing or re-signing) announcements from other clubs in our league. Edited by MikeGC - 28 Jun 2022 at 09:18 |

Yeah two wins now but yeah not looking good for Nuns.
To be fair they could of won more (away at Derby, home to Burton and Broadstreet) the side are just making silly mistakes and defensive errors which if they cut out they would be higher. The win against Bridgnorth did think maybe this is turning the corner but then they threw away a win against Broadstreet.

Without being too unkind Nuns have been under-achieving for a number of seasons now and despite changes in personnel they don't look like turning things around. Most worryingly they have lost to the three teams immediately above them and with 3 going down are already 9 points adrift of safety. I feel they probably will escape purely on the fact they seem capable of getting results against the better teams. Good luck!

Hope your right Thatbloke but yeah after the games so far I did not expect the win against Bridgnorth.
Bromsgrove, Derby, Dudley and Kenilworth are up before Christmas. Away at Derby and Kenilworth we could of nicked the win so hopefully at home might get something. Dudley are looking to be going up so not expecting much and Bromsgrove away but then who knows we beat North when they were second. If we do go down there might be the local derby with Nuneaton Old Eds!

Actually 2 teams are relegated from each level 5 league (6 of them) 1 promoted from each league below (12 of them). As there are 3 Midlands level 6 leagues but only one Midlands level 5 league (whereas 3 North level 6 with 2 North level 5) you have to read from that there will be a Midlands team (not necessarily one of the promoted ones) going into one of the Northern leagues. |

Thanks for clarifying Cobbler - I just saw 3 feeder leagues in the Midlands so assumed it would be 3 up, 3 down. Actually 3 down out of a 12 team league would be extremely harsh!

I was maybe being Mr Positive after we beat Bridgnorth who were second but after 8-6 at halftime Bromsgrove just ran away and silly errors again
Run to Christmas there is home to Derby and Kenilworth and away to Dudley. Not expecting anything at DK but Nuns need to win the two home games or fear that could be it.
