You will see a 2 page spread in tomorrows TRP on the new tackle law
We need to stop the RFU in its tracks with both the tackle law and also the treatment of Wasps and Worcs being totally different to any other club. Just look at what Richmond and Ldn Welsh had to do to name but 2 Please get your club and as rugby folk sign up to Community Clubs Union on Facebook and @ccusport on Twitter, we have to stop Sweeney and his gang of merry folk killing every rugby club in England Whilst he's in the process of doing that he's picking up £660k a year, to put that in real terms thats 4 1/2 Champ clubs worth of funding for season or more money than has been put into National 1 and 2 combined for the last 5 years. How can that be in the best interests of the game! Its time the rugby folk of England stopped the RFU being Judge, Jury and Executioner on everything. The nonprofessional community based game is in a fight to the death, they get this passed rugby clubs will be gone inside 10 years, its that serious, we have to stop this incompetent and self-interested so called governing body now! And we need every single rugby folk to get involved!

Happy to share any FACT you would like Maybe Sweeney calling national 1 players this week asking for their approval might be a fact to share Or calling Chairman of National league clubs asking for their help might also be a fact to share!

Split the game between community and professional. All revenue to be split evenly between the two. Scrap the outdated Council and facilitate individual club voting via GMS.

While funding needs to be more equitable, let's not split the game again. The
professional clubs need to be reminded they are not there by the will
of God, but by their success on the pitch. And those that lose will be
replaced by those who can win. |

Sweeney played at Weybridge Vandals in his 20s, interestingly with Andy Cosslett. He goes back there regularly so does hear some views. There are other members of the RFU Board who have less involvement.
We need to ensure that the CB Reps on the Council are given strong, clear guidance. That, though, can be difficult as there is not always agreement across the Clubs within a CB.

[/QUOTE] Lets hope Inverdale did the correct thing for National league rugby and went against it!

Well if the vote from Council was "unanimous" then Inverdale obviously went with the crowd. Was he one of the 14 who wanted to delay the decision? Who knows?
Council now seems to be claiming it was mis-lead approving a lowering of the tackle height but not specifically to "below the waist" which wasn't even part of the conversation yet announced by the RFU

As the RFU continue to stumble from one calamity to the next I was wondering about what was happening with gathering 100 signatures from clubs and forcing a motion of discontent? Its all gone quiet.
