Lions don't do a proper preview, but I will post the team sheet as and when I find it, this is lifted from Reds site, makes an interesting read.
Leicester Lions v Redruth
Saturday 14th March 2020 – Kick-off 2.00pm
Referee: Iain Kiy
Assistant Referees: Jason Newell & Jake Hill.
It all starts on Friday at 5pm as the Reds depart the Rec. for the long coach trip to the Midlands. After an overnight stay in Nuneaton’s finest Premier Inn (it’s a glamorous life!) Redruth complete their trip to the City of Leicester where they will take on some Lions. Sounds like something out of Gladiator!
Leicester Lions currently find themselves in 7th place with 76 points having won 16 times from their 23 starts. They have 1 or 2 games in hand over all the sides above so their true league position could be said to be a little higher. Earlier in the season Redruth won the first league match between the clubs by 20-7 in a closely fought match. The highlight of Leicester’s season so far appears to be doing the double over 5th place Clifton.
Last weekend the Reds secured a fantastic 5 away points with a 41-22 win at Sutton & Epsom after a 6am departure from the Rec. Leicester for their part had a narrow 13-10 win at Old Redcliffians in a match notable for the horrendous conditions it was played in.
The win up in London made it 12 wins on the bounce for the Reds; let’s hope this weekend brings up the Bakers Dozen. The Reds have now won 19; drawn 1 and lost 4 matches this season and are in 4th place with 91 points. The Reds top points scorer so far is Fraser Honey on 192 and the top try scorer is Matt Shepherd with 11, Dean Bonds is not far behind on 9 and Richard Brown is flying the flag for the forwards on 7. Jack Simmons is the only player to have played in all 24 matches.
The club are hoping to be able to screen this match live to the clubhouse, IT boffins at work as I write.
Keep an eye on the website for updates on this.

COME ON YOU LIONS...………..
