Well last of the first round games and MOTD is 2nd v 1st at Wimbledon with NW who were 2nd, now 4th and at home to Tring. 3rd placed Hertford will be looking for points at S&E to consolidate their place or possibly move above Wimbledon if the result goes their way. Whatever happens it is going to close at the top come 4.30 next on Saturday Brighton Westcombe

Brighton Westcombe Park 0-5 Brighton were a bit shambolic for most of last week. Credit to the few that held the team together but WP to take this comfortably. Havant Tunbridge Wells 5-0 Hav with a week off, TW after a proper battle. Have to go home win. North Walsham Tring 5-0 Surprised that Tring went down so meekly last week so NW to take the spoils. Sevenoaks Maidenhead 5-0 Sevenoaks to keep the pressure on those above them. Sidcup CS Stags 1863 5-1 If it happens, CS to have another painful afternoon. Sutton & Epsom Hertford 1-5 We need 5 here to keep the pressure on ahead of our season defining fixtures. Wimbledon Dorking 1-4 Flipped a coin, stuck a finger in the breeze, changed my mind 3 times. Haven't a clue but looking forward to the video when it goes on line. |

Brighton 1-4 Westcombe Park (Hoping to build on last week's foundations)
Havant 5-0 Tunbridge Wells (Hard place to win at) North Walsham 5-0 Tring (NW to bounce back but can't see Tring doing so) Sevenoaks 5-0 Maidenhead (Oaks' win last week was impressive) Sidcup 5-0 CSStags 1863 (Woes to continue) Sutton & Epsom 0-5 Hertford (Form side of the last few weeks to make it 8 on the trot) Wimbledon 0-4 Dorking (Think Dorking have been learning how to close out tight matches, but could go either way) Enjoy your games and hope they stay injury free with no controversy.

Brighton 4-0 Westcombe Park
I think Brighton are better than their league position suggests
Havant 5-0 Tunbridge Wells Can only see one result North Walsham 5-0 Tring NW impressed me last week and will be too good for Tring at home Sevenoaks 5-0 Maidenhead Sevenoaks on fire and I, like many didn't see last weeks result coming Sidcup 5-0 CS Stags Umm Sutton & Epsom 0-5 Hertford Hertford are also on a roll and should be too strong Wimbledon 1-5 Dorking MOTD. Really not sure about this. Head says Wimbledon but heart says Dorking to hang in there for a close win.

Brighton 0-4 WESTCOMBE PARK
HAVANT 5-1 Tunbridge Wells NORTH WALSHAM 5-0 Tring SEVENOAKS 5-0 Maidenhead SIDCUP 5-0 Cs Stags 1863 Sutton & Epsom 0-4 HERTFORD Wimbledon 1-4 DORKING Just noted Boatyjames comment above about 'lots of injuries' and suspect this might be a tad of a ploy to send out the wrong message. Am sure Dorking will be expecting a full strength Dons. Injuries at this time of the season in such a competitive league will be commonplace amongst most teams. Sad I will be missing the game, but hoping its a game to savour and rugby wins. Good luck to all.

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

Brighton 0 - 5 Westcombe Park I think WP's new coaches (real or not) will make the difference
Havant 4 - 1 Tunbridge Wells Could be closer after TW's unlucky result last week North Walsham 5 - 0 Tring NW keep the pressure up Sevenoaks 5 - 0 Maidenhead As above Sidcup 5 - 0 CS Stags Cup likely to have a week off Sutton & Epsom 0 - 5 Hertford Form team of last month to keep improving Wimbledon 1 - 4 Dorking Apparently lots of injuries to both squads but after the relative scrum performances last week Dorking to prevail |

Speaking of injuries, like you were above, I was just wondering if any squads had been disrupted by Covid very much?
I don't think we've lost any games so far because of it. Poor old CS have deeper troubles and Tring had the Pox.
Idle curiosity on a quiet afternoon. |
