South Leicester have formally withdrawn from League rugby. Their "other" team will continue to play in Leicestershire merit battles. Next seasons position will be dependent on the outcome of the Adult Playing review.

What happens now, do the results get wiped off from the games they have played?

So does that mean the 240-0 defeat is expunged from the record books?

Sad news indeed - is this the thin edge of the wedge for the PAYING game at this level?

I doubt it, more a case of what happens when you used to pay then stop doing so for reasons such as relegation. You attract a number of players by paying more than others do - therefore you must know loyalty is not high on the priorities of those players - so why be surprised that they leave when you stop paying? |

Assume this means only 2 down from what's (currently) left in Mids 1 and then cascade to one less relegation spot in league below this season as previous (if RFU haven't changed everything by then)?

I think you're being harsh and unfair on the players involved, would you work for nothing if your boss asked you to? Loyalty is a bit like respect, it is not bought or sold, but earnt.

Yes Assuming no reorg, Reg 13.2.8 applies: (c) at Levels 4 -7, one fewer Club shall be relegated from each League for each Club the League is missing; (d) at Levels 4 –7, where fewer Club(s) have been relegated from the higher level in accordance with (b) and/or (c) above, equivalent fewer Club(s) shall be relegated from that Level. The Club(s) reprieved from relegation which would otherwise have occurred under Regulation 13.2.7 will be determined at each level below by the ‘Best Playing Record’ of all Clubs that would normally have been relegated from the two leagues that feed into the league above where reprieve(s) have applied. Save that a second Club cannot be reprieved from the same league until the other league has had the same number of teams reprieved from relegation; |

South West Premier is already one team short due to B&S Bees withdrawal so a fair bit of re-jigging across Level 5 next summer even before the RFU destroy league rugby.

If only Webb-Ellis hadn't given them the ball back!
