Predictions:
Bedford 1 v Ealing 4 - Ealing will be determined to avoid a repeat of their nightmare in Penzance and will hold off an improving Bedford side. Hartpury College 1 v Nottingham 4 - Hartpury at home are tricky customers but a confident Nottingham side should just shade it. Jersey 5 v Doncaster 1 - The Knights could get a try bonus point but I think Jersey at home will be too strong for a team that is down on numbers, particularly up front. London Scottish 4 v Ampthill 1 - LS, who have had two narrow reverses so far, should buck that trend against a decent Ampthill side who are still adjusting to championship rugby. Cornish Pirates 4 v Newcastle 1 - this is a cracking game on paper and I think it will be very close but I think a Pirates team that is playing excellently at the moment may just have the confidence to get a major scalp. Yorkshire Carnegie 1 v Coventry 5 - can’t see much change I’m afraid for Yorkies but maybe they can sneak 4 tries in a high scoring game. Nothing against Falcons but I hope Pirates turn them over at the weekend. It would make the league a little more interesting. Edited by Donnyknightsfan - 20 Oct 2019 at 23:03 |

Bedford 2 v Ealing 5 - Ealing are likely winners, Bedford fielding a stronger team this week could lead to them sneaking the win.
Hartpury College 4 v Nottingham 1 - Hartpury at home and in need of a win, they will be targeting this game. Jersey 4 v Doncaster 1 - Could be a close one, we will need Jersey's poor decision making of this weekend gone to last another week to give us a shout. If our injury list miraculously disappeared I might fancy our chances..... :-( Can't make it over for the Friday night game either. London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 1 - Scottish to come back on the victory trail Cornish Pirates 4 v Newcastle 1 - Newcastle to muddy their pristine shorts and struggle Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 - Cov to distribute a hiding clear by 30 points. |

"Cornish Pirates 4 v Newcastle 1 - Newcastle to muddy their pristine shorts and struggle "
No mud on the newly laid pitch at The Mennaye! A lot of improvements made to the ground over the summer - even Mr Smith won't think it's ramshackle.

Should be a cracking day, whatever the result. Hope you have a great trip and are impressed by the improvements at The Mennaye. Looks like it could be a close to full ground, so the atmosphere will be brilliant.

I thought that the mud at the Mennaye was a feature like the slope at Goldington Road. |

Bedford 0 v Ealing 5 Underpowered Blues struggle to score with Ealing in full control
Hartpury College 0 v Nottingham 5 Visitors’ pack to dominate against disjointed Pury 12 - 30 Jersey 5 v Doncaster 0 Islanders power through at home, Donny disappoint London Scottish 1 v Ampthill 4. Amps get dogged pack up to speed and shock winless Scottish Cornish Pirates 5 v Newcastle 1 Pirates will ramp it up a notch for this one Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 Hard to see Carnegie take anything from this |

Bedford 1 v Ealing 5 ... Trailfinders got back on track at home to Jersey last week and I think that they will be too powerful for Bedford up front and will starve them of the ball. However, if Bedford get their hands on it then watch out for a shock.
Hartpury College 0 v Nottingham 5 ... Getting to be a tougher trip these days, but I think that Nottingham will have too much over the 80 for Hartpury Jersey 5 v Doncaster 2 ... A great game in Doncaster a few weeks ago in the cup which the Knights edged. I think that The Reds will return the favour. Always close these games and this will be no exception. London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 0 ... LS looking good so far this season and I think that they will be too strong for the newbies, but I fancy that they won't have it all their own way. Cornish Pirates 4 v Newcastle 1 ... Wow! what a mouth watering prospect this game is. Pirates gave a strong Ealing side a thumping at home 2 weeks ago and I think that they will give the Falcons a serious battle up front. Could be a classic this one. Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 ... YC getting closer to scoring their first league point, but they won't do it this week. Another big away win in store i'm afraid. |

Bedford 1 v Ealing 5 - Ealing to score lots, and allow through lots. I'd be surprised if there weren't a lot of changes in the centres and wings based on the porous defense.
Hartpury College 0 v Nottingham 4 - gut feel Jersey 4 v Doncaster 0 - Jersey looked very dangerous in the second half at Vallis Way, and should have just enough to pip Donny to the win at home. London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 0 - Life tough in the champ for the new boyds. Cornish Pirates 5 v Newcastle 1 - Arrrrgggh. Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 - Nope, not this week Leeds. |
