Mose good or was it a Cov 2nd XV? Pre season games often dont give much indication . . although I am sure Mose will take a huge boost from this.

Blues 50 Cambridge 24.

Bedford first pre-season try out, strong squad. Cambridge should be happy with result but interested in Mose/ Coventry score.

Another run out tomorrow for Cambridge squad

No, a similar mix, but possibly slightly stronger.

A good runout for both sides I thought Kimbo and a good game to watch.  Cov deserved the win.  Here's to being in the same league (level2) in the not too distant future.  we need this fixture!

Ealing 52 - Bishops Stortford 7. 56 mins. Ealing genuinely not running up the score as much as they could.

73-14 FT (which was cut a bit short in the heat). Ealing looked very sharp.

Blackheath 23-36 Cov

A few late changes to Cov's starting lineup (and an early injury to one of those that had been added) disrupted slightly, but decent result against a good side by all accounts.

Pity about the injuries, 1 for each side, Cov 7 dislocated shoulder, Club lock suspected broken ankle. Good run out for both sides

The Cov lad is one of the new Academy intake I reckon. Sadly that'll put him out for a while, but hopefully being young it will heal well.
Hope the Blackheath lad isn't too bad.

On 60 minutes we had a kick to put us in front against a full time pro side. Shortly after that we put on 2 young props, having lost both second rows one in the build up and one after 15 minutes. The back rower that moved to lock was then taken off injured so we had a hooker at 8 for the last 15 minutes with 2 flankers in the row so taken into context was a decent performance. We scored 4 really good tries and if we had converted those it would have been closer (kickers 1 from 5). So while no one likes to lose its pre season and about the systems and processes which for 75% of the game were very good against a good opposition.

No clue - I'll poke around the clubhouse tomorrow and see what I can find out.

I would imagine that it was pre agreed that Ealing would not put out their first or second pick props. Bishop's Stortfords coach,Andy Long,ex England hooker would understand the potential danger in a mis match of props.

Ealing started with ex Loughborough prop George Davis and Jake Ellwood who was loaned to Chinnor last season.

Yeah, saw the props (except Els) in the stands with the other dozen or so guys not turning out. Seemed fine.
