Again a week without a recognised fly half. Hooley has finished his WC and Leeming, I guess still laid up after concussion 5 weeks ago, the fans know nothing. Robling doing a stand in (no pun) job but we need him at inside centre. Backs shifted around again. I expect a 0 - 5 against a strong Ealing side. Hope I don’t get wet.
Hartpury 1 Notts 5, don’t expect Hartpury to click until later (when DRs get back) in the season, as last year.
Scottish 5 Amps 1, Scottish looking good this season, with our ex fly half Harry Sheppard 😩
Jersey 4 Donny 1, home advantage I think, otherwise haven’t a clue.
Pirates 4 Falcons 1, hoping like many to let this match spice up the league this season, definitely possible.
Yorkies 1 Cov 5, very business like Cov should be comfortable.

Bedford 2 v Ealing 5 - Ealing are likely winners but the defence seems leaky.
Hartpury College 4 v Nottingham 1 - Hartpury at home and in need of a win - when do the DRs arrive.
Jersey 5 v Doncaster 1 - Tears before this one
London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 1 - Scottish two bounce back
Cornish Pirates 1 v Newcastle 4 - (Pirates to sneak this one and get the Premiership cartel panicking again this season) Changed after seeing team selections
Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 - Cov to distribute a hiding clear by 40 points.

Bedford 1-5 Ealing Should be a cracking match but Ealing power to be just enough
Hartpury 4-1 Nottingham Could easily go either way but at home with a few Barbarians to help I just go for Hartpury
Jersey 3-3 Donny Although 5-2 either way more likely. Hopefully Jersey can lock out a few scrums on their own ball and still score a few without Van Dam
London Scottish 4-0 Ampthill Home advantage to be key factor
Cornish Pirates 0-5 Falcons banker 5 pointer away win which should guarantee a Pirates smash & grab
Yorkshire Carnegie 1-4 Coventry Yorkies will surely get a few points on the way.

Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Bedford 1 v Ealing 5 - Ealing to score lots, and allow through lots. I'd be surprised if there weren't a lot of changes in the centres and wings based on the porous defense.
Hartpury College 0 v Nottingham 4 - gut feel
Jersey 4 v Doncaster 0 - Jersey looked very dangerous in the second half at Vallis Way, and should have just enough to pip Donny to the win at home.
London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 0 - Life tough in the champ for the new boyds.
Cornish Pirates 5 v Newcastle 1 - Arrrrgggh.
Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 - Nope, not this week Leeds.

Bedford 1 v Ealing 5 ... Trailfinders got back on track at home to Jersey last week and I think that they will be too powerful for Bedford up front and will starve them of the ball. However, if Bedford get their hands on it then watch out for a shock.
Hartpury College 0 v Nottingham 5 ... Getting to be a tougher trip these days, but I think that Nottingham will have too much over the 80 for Hartpury
Jersey 5 v Doncaster 2 ... A great game in Doncaster a few weeks ago in the cup which the Knights edged. I think that The Reds will return the favour. Always close these games and this will be no exception.
London Scottish 5 v Ampthill 0 ... LS looking good so far this season and I think that they will be too strong for the newbies, but I fancy that they won't have it all their own way.
Cornish Pirates 4 v Newcastle 1 ... Wow! what a mouth watering prospect this game is. Pirates gave a strong Ealing side a thumping at home 2 weeks ago and I think that they will give the Falcons a serious battle up front. Could be a classic this one.
Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v Coventry 5 ... YC getting closer to scoring their first league point, but they won't do it this week. Another big away win in store i'm afraid.

No mud on the newly laid pitch at The Mennaye! A lot of improvements made to the ground over the summer - even Mr Smith won't think it's ramshackle.

I thought that the mud at the Mennaye was a feature like the slope at Goldington Road.

Me too
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

Should be a cracking day, whatever the result. Hope you have a great trip and are impressed by the improvements at The Mennaye. Looks like it could be a close to full ground, so the atmosphere will be brilliant.
