Nottingham and Bedford players can get ready to totally ignore the offside line right now.

and, if either (or both) team wants to take ‘time outs’ at every breakdown, the more the merrier.

As long as they're behind the opposing scrum half's feet they'll be fine.

Interesting figure from a local journalist who was reporting from the Coventry match, and who is also an active referee about the Coventry v Doncaster match last weekend. 63 minutes before a scrum completed, and only two completed in the whole game. No yellow cards against either team for scrummaging offences. Repeated resets and free kicks, a few penalties, but with one pack dominant and the other collapsing repeatedly, no cards. Given that the losing team seemed determined to waste time in order to minimise their defeat it could explain why so little of the match was playing time.

Very sporting of you OldNick - so kind of you to offer to remove the speck of dirt from Doncaster Knights Eye whilst firmly ignoring the clod of dirt in Coventry's eye. I do recall, last year, when we beat you at the arena you pulling such guff out of the hat then.

Perhaps you should retreat to your corner and stay there, and just keep your sour grapes to yourself.
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

Ealing Trailfinders team to play Doncaster Knights on Saturday 16th November at Castle Park in Round Six of the Greene King IPA Championship: Rotation in the forwards this week, wisely I think. Otherwise, I like that the 9/10 pairing is retained, and good to see Sam Dickinson back in the squad for his leadership capabilities.

15 David Johnston 14 Elijah Niko 13 Lewis Jones 12 Harry Sloan 11 Reon Joseph 10 Craig Willis 9 Craig Hampson 1 Will Davis 2 Alun Walker 3 Elliot Millar Mills 4 Sam Dickinson 5 Ben West 6 Jordy Reid 7 Andrew Durutalo 8 Rayn Smid ©

Replacements:

16 Matt Cornish 17 Jake Ellwood 18 Craig Trenier 19 Harry Casson 20 Kieran Murphy 21 Oli Robinson 22 Nathan Fowles 23 Tommy Bell

I genuinely hope they are never that desperate Brizzer! I am indeed heading off for a day trip to Amptill tomorrow thanks to the 2.15 kick off time and still hoping for an odd beer in the highly recommended Albion before the match.

I'd swap your kicking boots for wellies CC and that is just to get to the pitch.

I’d add a torch, to get back to the clubhouse after the match, especially if there are any injuries.

In my experience everyone is required, as a condition of entry, to wear a head torch in lieu of floodlights at this time of year.
