I think that we will be down the bottom of the hill, in the corner that used to be a swamp, unless the lads stand somewhere else now |

See you there Brizzer. Having a meal in Marquee, then standing at the scrum bar end amongst the noisy singers.

Will see you there Cricks. This is normally a very entertaining game and I do like the Bedford supporters (even those who sing boring boring Jersey) |

Bedford were very good and stretched Pirates to the limit. Pirates had to dig deep and put in a huge defensive shift. Bedford defence was solid and they caused real problems, especially on the left - the winger is very quick!

What are Bedford doing at the bottom end of the table? yesterday at the Mennaye the real Bedford turned up and gave as good as they got and we had a real game on our hands rather than a top v bottom easy ride as we had two weeks ago. I do think that we deserved the win in the end though as we are getting better at closing tight games out unlike last season were we let tight games slip from our grasp.

Sounded like a really absorbing game in Cornwall today. Bedford are starting to get some form back and I am looking at our trip to Bedford next week with more and more trepidation.
Jersey need to win to get some daylight from Coventry who play high frying Pirates at home. Bedford will be looking to win against a decent Jersey side to move further away from YC. Pirates will be looking to hang on to Newcastle’s shirt tails with a good win at Cov. 2 cracking games in prospect next weekend |

Thought Bedford played really well and were unlucky not to get more. They looked like they could score from anywhere and made some excellent breaks from their 22. Hard to say who really deserved the win as there was nothing to separate the two sides in a scrappy game in difficult conditions. Happy to be on the correct side of a tight game though.

A much better result than I thought we’d get (hangs head in shame), we seem to be find some confidence at last, I’ll take that bonus point. Listening to, the very one sided, commentary we were much the better side for the last 30 mins, we’ll done Blues.

Well done Blues, given a lacklustre season so far, a losing bonus point at the Mennaye is very welcome.

Just about to post that!
While I was checking I noticed that Quins battered Sarries. Odd result. Presumably Sarries fielded a weakened side, or do I do Quins a disservice?

FT at the Mennaye Pirates 18-15 Bedford. surprised at how close Bedford got. I was expecting a comfortable home win. Bedford seem to be getting a bit of confidence back.

Nothing to separate the two sides at the moment. Scrappy game all round but that's to be expected in the conditions.
