Predictions:
Yorkshire Carnegie 1 v 5 Nottingham - I think Carnegie could get another point on the board in this game but I don't think they'll get their first win. Doncaster 4 v 1 London Scottish - this will be very tight I think but much like they did against Nottingham I think Doncaster will get over the line. Bedford 4 v 1 Jersey - A tight one but an improved Bedford to win at home. Coventry 1 v 5 Cornish Pirates - got to go with form. Cov are too inconsistent, Pirates on a roll. Ealing 5 v 2 Hartpury College - I think this could be a very high-scoring game on that pitch. Ealing to edge it but HC will make them work very hard for it. Newcastle 5 v 0 Ampthill - Falcons on their home patch far too strong I'm afraid. |

Yorkshire Carnegie 0-5 Nottingham - I think the opposition target YC now and hunt the full 5 points. And I think there will be no change this week.
Doncaster 4-1 London Scottish - LS are improving but I think Donny will bounce back after last week's defeat. Bedford 5-2 Jersey - Bedford are finding their feet and I think this will be a high scoring entertaining game. Coventry 1-4 Cornish Pirates - This is a bold prediction but I feel not all is happy in the Coventry camp. Ealing 5- 0 Hartpury College - A comfortable home win, methinks. Newcastle 0-5 Ampthill - Oh! Sorry. Misprint. Newcastle 5-1 Ampthill - The Newcastle machine will most likely score more than four tries. But it is not beyond Ampthill to do the same, as they did at Ealing a couple of weeks ago. |

Yorkshire Carnegie 1 v 5 Nottingham YC to sneak a BP
Doncaster Knights 4 v 1 London Scottish - Donny starting to find form? Bedford 4 v 1 Jersey - could depend on the weather Coventry 1 v 4 Cornish Pirates - Pirates to grind it out Ealing Trailfinders 5 v 0 Hartpury College - Will be close for 50 then bench makes impact both ways Newcastle Falcons 5 v 0 Ampthill - Stuttering but still picking up winning BPs at home |

Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v 5 Nottingham Leeds jettisoned DoR and was abandoned by Head Coach. Can't see that improving form.
Doncaster Knights 4 v 1 London Scottish - Doncaster to squeeze out a win at home. Bedford 4 v 1 Jersey - Watched the live stream on Sunday, and Bedford seem to be finding their identity this season as a much more 'grind it out' squad than in previous years. I think that is just enough to get them over the line at home. Coventry 4 v 1 Cornish Pirates - Coventry stung by two close losses comes out motivated and beats Pirates in a close game. Ealing Trailfinders 4 v 1 Hartpury College - Ealing with a weird line up, will barely scrape a win at home. Newcastle Falcons 5 v 0 Ampthill - Reverse fixture could be tricky, but I can only see one way traffic in Newcastle this weekend. Edited by gerg_861 - 31 Jan 2020 at 13:40 |

Yorkshire Carnegie 0 v 5 Nottingham Half tempted to go 1-4 but I just cant see Carnegie getting close or scoring more than two tries Doncaster 1 v 4 London Scottish Donny have some good players, but pack are a bit portly and knocking on a bit. Expects Scots to take it. Bedford 1 - Jersey 4 Tight encounter, think Reds will sneak it though.. 14-20 Coventry 1 v 5 Cornish Pirates Cov not good enough to trouble Pirates, though could still score 4 tries Ealing 5 v 0 Hartpury College Banker 5 points for Ealing. 43-14 Newcastle 5 v 0 Ampthill Can see A's scoring a couple, but no more. Falcons have been a bit off-colour though, so who knows? Edited by B Cap - 27 Jan 2020 at 16:12 |

By knocking on a bit you mean Mr Quigley (39) and possibly Mr Challinor (34) By portly you mean Mr Quigley big Joe is just that ‘BIG’ The catch is he (Mr Quigley) can still out scrummage most in this league and fancies another season at it next year.....

CQ is 38 according to this page (which also shows him ball-in-hand, sprinting away from one of Jersey's quickest players! )

Leeds 2-2 Nottingham - Could go either way - settled by a missed kick?
Knights 4-1 Scottish - Two decent teams I just go with home advantage - great pitch & pies enjoy the rugby Bedford 2-5 Jersey - Lots of tries in this one. I was due to miss this one but a late change plans means I am hoping to see a cracking open game. Coventry 1-4 Cornish Pirates - Cov at home with the better squad and great support but Pirates very well managed this season to take it by a handful of points Ealing Trailfinders 4-1 Hartpury College - Could go either way Newcastle Falcons 1-4 Ampthill - Someone need to beat Falcons who are the best team in the league but imo not by that much so howay Amps. Yorkshire Carnegie 1 v 5 Nottingham ... I quite fancy YC to get a TBP in this one following the way that they played in Jersey. The defence is poor, but with the ball they do have teeth, especially from the maul. Outside of that, Nottingham fill yer boots
Doncaster Knights 4 v 1 London Scottish ... no idea on this one. Probably the two most inconsistent sides in the league. It really could be anything, but I will go for a hard fought, tight home win. Bedford 2 v 5 Jersey ... Bedford on the up. Jersey keep butchering gilt edged scoring chances. However, I think that this could be another classic. Bedford will move the ball and that will leave space for the quick back 3 of the Reds. A thriller with everything except Michael Jackson!! Coventry 1 v 4 Cornish Pirates ... Cov are good at home and will keep this tight, but there is a tenacity about Pirates this season. I fancy them to stay 2nd with a good away win. Ealing Trailfinders 4 v 0 Hartpury College ... Hartpury do not concede too much, but they don't get over the white wash too much either. A game of attrition which Ealing will win comfortably, but may need the boot to secure the points. Newcastle Falcons 5 v 1 Ampthill ... Ampthill will give this a right old go (why wouldn't they?), but I think that attacking flair will be at the expense of leaving big gaps that the Falcons will exploit. Lots of tries, most going to the hosts (9 tries to 4) |
