Bedford 3-3 Coventry Should be a cracking game, full of errors and tries. 5-2 either way probably more likely.
Scottish 4-1 Nottingham Two well matched sides but home advantage to decide it. Jersey 5-0 Ealing On comparing the two squads and current playing and disciplinary form Trailfinders should win this at a canter and weather unlikely to help the home team but I'm feeling lucky so going for a home banker. Hartpury 4-1 Newcastle Howay Hartpury Barbarians borrow as many players as necessary but be first to beat the favourites. Pirates 5-0 Doncaster A banker but that prediction must give Donny a good chance Leeds 1-4 Ampthill - A close game would be good. |

Ealing Trailfinders team to play Jersey Reds at 14:00 on Saturday 8th February at Stade Santander International: Quite a bit of continuity from last week, which is usually a good thing in my book, especially after a 59-5 victory. Happy to see that Els is back up front after what turns out to just be a rest week last week and not an injury. A bit surprised to see a change to the 9/10 partnership again, but I suppose you need to spread the game time around? Otherwise, thrilled to see Peter Lydon starting at fullback again. 15 Peter Lydon 14 Pat Howard 13 Jack Tovey 12 Harry Sloan 11 Reon Joseph 10 Steven Shingler 9 Craig Hampson 1 Jordan Els 2 Alun Walker 3 Elliot Millar Mills 4 Ben West 5 James Cannon 6 Shane Buckley 7 Jordy Reid 8 Rayn Smid © 16 Matt Cornish 17 Will Davis 18 George Davis 19 Sam Dickinson 20 Adam Korczyk 21 Nathan Fowles 22 Craig Willis 23 Levi Davis |

I reckon Kevin Barrett, Dave Ward and Aleki Lutui have probably racked up more wins at Headingley than the entire Leeds squad combined.

Bedford 1-5 Coventry All downhill for Cov in the second half. London Scottish 1-4 Nottingham Close match. Jersey 1-4 Ealing Trailfinders get pulled into a Jersey arm-wrestle. Hartpury 0-5 Newcastle 'nuf said. Cornish Pirates 4-0 Doncaster Knights Low-scoring match - baton down the hatches. Yorkshire Carnegie 0-4 Ampthill High stakes in the high winds.

Careful - The Namibians have arrived and are selected for this game-9 (4 or 5 I think)

Per the YC website it is just the three new Namibian signings. Good for them and for YC. But I still think The mighty As from “the village” in Mid Bedfordshire will spoil the party, even in a gale force 9 wind. But what do I know.
