Based on who I have seen this season, so apologies to Blackheath, Plymouth, Moseley and Sale. Also Brandon Asher-Wood only played 3 minutes against Chinnor so I haven't included him.......

There is also a slight bias towards Chinnor as I have seen them alot more than everyone else. On the other hand, one good performance against Chinnor gets a place !

1. Smart ( Cinderford )
2. Selway ( Chinnor )
3. Baker ( Rams )
4. Taylor ( Rams )
5. Lemon ( Cinderford )
6. Barton ( Old Elthamians )
7. Vooght ( Rams )
8. Hone ( Cinderford )
9. Gibbs ( Richmond )
10. Barton ( Cinderford )
11. Holland ( Rosslyn Park )
12. Hema ( Cambridge )
13. Elder ( Chinnor )
14. Worrall ( Chinnor )
15. Hodge ( DMP )

I would pick a team, but although I've seen all these people play, the only one I remember is Hema (and I've seen Gibbs for years).

TRP now published their dream team. Richmond have Gibbs, Litchfield, Mitchell and Saysell. Three each from RP and Rams. I would have put Hodgson in at No 10.

Cannon I understand the selected team is made up of the choices of the head coaches of the Nat 1 teams. i think you will find a significant amount of analysis of all opposition teams happens at this level and these guys will have a significant amount of information to enable them to make their choices. But of course always subjective.

And for England - he just looked impressive when I saw him.

I agree I have seen Hodge playing since he was 17 and I hope he goes on to a stellar career, I for one think he will. But on the basis of one game he is in the Dream team, what about Morgan Passman of DMP ( Falcons) he scored 8 tries in three games before a season ending injury?

As said above all subjective but fun.

On e a few appearances I'd pick Lynagh at full back, but regular play is a must, I feel.

It's tricky - if you only see fifteen of the league's sixteen team once each season then a standout performance will stick in your mind, regardless of whether that's the only appearance the player made all season.

Lynagh is dual registered with Harlequins and only 18. He's not the complete package as a full back yet, but has an attacking flair many of us have not seen for years. The try he scored against Cinderford is well worth watching several times. I was lucky enough to be standing on the touch line at the time. His Dad is the former Wallabies captain and turns up to watch,

I would have thought any such team would need players to have played at least 50% if not 66% of matches to qualify?

Yes that's sensible. If Kirby hadn't been injured early I'd suggest he would be a shoe in at full back. Best place kicker in this league and probably in the best half dozen in the country. Also a classy runner and kicker out of hand. I watched the recording of Richmond v DMP and he outshone Seals in difficult conditions.
