It is with great sadness that we must report the loss of one of Burnage RFC’s finest; Noel "Mother" Grundy.

Noel passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 25 April after a brave battle with illness for some time. He was surrounded by his family, as he wanted, without fuss or drama. He was our ‘Mother’ to the end and we will miss him.

The funeral is likely to be May 5th but under COVID 19 directive can only be attended by closest family.

The whole club and the wider family of Rugby across the North West share in their loss and send our deepest condolences.

Wherever you are locked down, raise a glass to Noel, a Burnage man for 60 years !
