No axe to grind, but the figures I quoted were published on the 24th and covered the week to the 19th. Seems an odd discrepancy to me. However, the same article goes on to state: "On the other hand, Central Bedfordshire's infection rate has dropped significantly to 96.7 from 134.4 over the last seven days. Luton Council warned two weeks ago of an "alarming rise" in new cases which could “soon reach 300 per 100,000” - which it now nearly has". I assume Central Bedfordshire doesn't include the Town? |

Luton is separate from Central Beds which is separate to Bedford.
Bedford’s rate has been descending and isn’t that much higher pre lockdown. Hopefully it’s following the same trend as Cambridge! |

Fair enough. Was just going by the article that stated that Bedford (town) figures had risen w/e 19/11. |

Out of the whole of England, 55m are now in tier 2 or 3 - so hardly any different to lockdown. A lot of people are now in a higher tier than before lockdown.
Liverpool was held up as a shining example, but surely mass testing is likely to decrease your rate per 100k as you are testing a lot of people without symptoms? Not sure what the population of Cornwall is but would suggest the fact it has very little land border with anywhere else (Devon) is a factor in its low rates - hence tier 1. |

Players can play, and those who cannot can in many places bring some income to their clubs.

Looking forward to new beginnings.

Plus a large number of Eastern Europeans picking daffodil's and cauliflowers. Jobs that locals do not want to do.

Latest update from last night
Following Thursday’s tier announcement, we know clubs have a number of questions to address and we want to reassure you that we are working hard with Government to clarify outstanding areas so that we can provide you with answers and clear guidance. As you will appreciate, the return to grassroots sport in the Covid landscape is a complex and fast-moving world for Government to manage. We will continue to support their efforts to provide clarity for clubs as quickly as possible. As soon as we are in a position to do so, we will provide Clubs and CBs with on field and off field guidance for each tier, so you are confident about returning to play safely and excited about rugby restarting. Guidance for each tier will include: • Which stage on The Return to Community Rugby Roadmap clubs will be able to play. • Equipment that will be permitted. • Facilities guidance (for clubhouses, bars, changing rooms, showers, toilets) • Travel implications • Spectators management • Group mixing rules Until Wednesday 2 December, we remain in national lockdown and at Stage A on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. This means that no competitive or formal rugby activities can be undertaken. Please keep an eye out for communications in the coming days. We will share an update with you as soon as we have received and interpreted Government guidance around sporting facilities, so that we can provide clarity on what it means for clubs in each area. |

This is for community rugby not elite rugby. Need to be careful not to mix both up.

Sail By. Whats your point?
Prem is back Championship is waiting on a restart date and in what format. Thats the elite part out of the way, so is my post not relevant to the remaining 99.1% of the game including all the NCA Clubs?

Sorry but I thought that this was a thread discussing Championship return to play. We need to stay positive that the clubs are following their procedures so we can see some rugby in January or February.
You points are very valid for community rugby though.

Sorry if it's a bit OT, Sail By, but Pirates Amateurs are probably going to start playing soon - it seems that there will be an in-Cornwall competition. All clubs in Kernow are in tier one, so makes life easier I guess.
