2030, when Rugby, Football and Cricket have been reclassified as 2nd tier sports. The world of sport has been completely taken over by Women's Beach Volleyball.
Ah, one can but Dream.

By 2030 the accepted meaning of the word had changed to refer to benefits provided by reasons of generousity or altruism.

I'd be surprised if Saracens haven't had to change their name by then, if only to keep peace.

Witch DOR of Roth was that because I was under the impression that Roth have always been against ring fencing whilst I have been a Roth member and supporter for getting on 40 years.

Remember speaking at a club dinner where the other speaker was the D of R at Rotherham who were in the Premiership at that time, he was speaking in favour of ring fencing (majority of those at the dinner disagreed with him) , often think that if he had got his wish would they now be playing in N2N.

With the laws now under the control of the audience facilitation board with representation from all stakeholders, the replacement for the scrum has now been made permanent after its success in grassroots rugby. The snap, where 6 forwards line up against each other but at at now legally obliged 2 metres interval, proved popular in audience feedback and increased the ball in play time by an astonishing 35 minutes. There are still critics of the idea. Lord Brian Moore, the grand old doyen of English rugby, and former Chairman of World Rugby Plc, is known to voice his displeasure behind the scenes, but afterthe Scottish andFrencht won their case at the Equality tribunal concerning historic complaints ofculturalstereotyping, his views are now widely discredited.

Looking back is interesting too. Championship table 26.10.13: Top - London Welsh, second - Rotherham, sixth - Leeds, seventh - Plymouth, 11th - Moseley,12th - Ealing. We all know the answer to 'where are they now?' Of course, ringfencing might have produced a different story.

Hopefully I'll still be around to confirm this !
There are suggestions they once played there before, but no one can confirm this as a fact. |
