with so many community clubs struggling at the moment its was refreshing to see while looking for any rugby chatter to see the amazing effort by birkenhead park to raise 75k to improve their facilities and open them up to the local community。
tremendous effort by their members and sponsors securing the future of the club in the process 。
in a world beset with bad news at the moment has anyone any simlar stories of light in the darkess of times?
it must be a nightmare for most community clubs at the moment。

Yes an amazing effort from Park. Really good support from over 300 people including former player Austin Healey who made a sizeable donation. Should go a long way in enabling the club to proceed with plans to turn old squash courts into a new function/conference room.

Just crashing this thread with a query about Northern Division rugby. Can anyone tell me which division Wallasey play in, and what level of the RFU pyramid that equates to? Thanks

They aren't part of the RFU pyramid system, but play in the Halbro North West Leagues - Division 4 West. To give you some sort of a guide as to that level of rugby, they played against Northwich 3rds whose First XV were promoted to the Northern Premier League last year, which is Level 5
