Mowden have their squad of 38 (19 forwards, 19 backs) on the website. It doesn't seem to be complete as there are players, such as Sam Shanks and Sol Kench, who were involved in the first two pre-season games, who aren't on the first team, and will probably feature throughout the season.
Though the squad might seem pretty big, as there will, if the current rules on player movement continue into the season, be no loan or dual registered players, there has to be plenty of cover for work commitments and injuries.
I hope we can sign another hooker or hope one of the eight props can play competently in that position, because only having one in the squad is far from ideal. https://www.mowdenpark.com/teams/11810/the-team Edited by Fake_Shemp - 24 Aug 2021 at 16:42 |

Is there any truth in the rumour that Caylon Ryan has signed for a championship club?

But that is the modern way, you sign for a pro side and get loaned round, then released.

I'm 99.9% certain that Keston Lines was never selected for Cov, so you can effectively say that Chinnor have acquired him from Leicester Tigers

Chinnor have signed the following so far!
New season signings for 20/21 Forwards Keston Lines - Coventry Willie Ryan - Nottingham Ben Manning - LS Ben Glyn - Newport Gwent Dragons Max Clemenston - Hartpury Fred Tuilagi - LS Backs Sam Yawayawa - LS Jason Worral - LS Dean Hammond - Ealing Luke Carter - Ealing Greg Goodfellow - Chinnor resigned Plenty of National One and championship experience amongst these names. There have been retentions Kieran Goss, Caolan Ryan, Soane Tonga’uiha, Jack Walsh. More signings have been made but all a bit of unknown quantity at this level yet. Interesting times at Chinnor compared to recent years. |

I presume Cambridge, like many Clubs, have moved to match fees only with no retainers. No matches, no payment.

Camquin, many of these were signed last year for the 20/21 season that never was, when the club had no money, chairman was asking for £40k or the club shuts and it raised half on the go fund me page, yet the D of R was still signing players up when the season was never going to start.
Be interesting when it comes out in the wash as to how this was afforded and funded!!

Looking at the DMP squad for their first pre-season friendly against Blaydon it seems there are few more new faces which are yet to be announced -
Fantastic news about Warren Seals in my opinion he is still playing well below the level where he should be. DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law has named a 28 man squad for Saturday's pre-season game against Blaydon at the Arena (2.30pm Kick Off). A number of new signings are named within the squad alongside a host of familiar faces for DMP's first pre-season outing of the summer. Despite a number of the 1st XV squad being unavailable for the game (Ollie Hodgson, Chris McTurk, Warren Seals, Ollie Walker and Liam Checksfield), the fixture will provide the chance for the bulk of the squad to get some pre-season minutes under their belt as they continue their preparations for the 2021/22 National One season. Mowden Park Squad to face Blaydon (14/7) Forwards: Talite VAIOLETI Backs: Callum MACKENZIE |
