Conrad Cade - Prop (Newcastle Falcons), Gus Warr - Scrum Half (Sale Sharks) & Will Vaughan - Prop (Bath Rugby) to be dual registered with the Knights for the season. And that's our lot (I think) for this season with an average age 24.67 years. 31 players so hope we do not have any lengthy injuries or suspensions.

Strong squad you have there, interesting to see how it goes!

So did Exeter.

They backed up their ambition with a long term strategy, investment into facilities/supplementary income streams and most importantly a substantially larger fan base than any club currently in the championship. There are no clubs in the championship who have anything resembling the plan they had.

I watched Steve Borthwick "test" his hooker's lineout throws before the match at St Peter yesterday and it was real masterclass. Steve stood on top of a big step-ladder on the touchline with arms fully outstretched so he was reaching the objective height of the throw and made the hooker throw repeatedly from the standard 2/4/6 positions on the field. He kept them at it until they were faultless.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

I have always rated Billy Harding and he is one of the best hookers in the Championship. He has an  excellent  skill set  and is a strong defensive player. He will thrive at Ampthill in my opinion.
Not sure i have the same view (of his ability)
Missed his first 4 throws versus Richmond at the weekend.

That is a real shame for Billy Harding . I watched him play several times pre Covid for London Scottish. Not an excuse on his behalf but not having played competitve rugby for that period of time and joining a new club must be very daunting.

Hopefully he will come through for Ampthill and get back to form. The very best hookers in the world occasionally have an 'off day' . This was recently evident during the Lions tour. With the hookers missing the jumper on several occasions. We all know the complexity of all of the elements to complete a successful throw in.

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

Jamie Elliott (ex Saints and Blues) is in Blues squad for Ampthill, who had been training with us for a few weeks but may just be a trialist.

Blues sign Frank Kelly - centre from Luctonians due to Hirsky-Douglas tearing his Achilles!  Previous Clubs, N. Otago and Plymouth in ND1.

Brother plays for Knights.

10 Saints to Blues, 8 from before with 2 additions.

Happy with the 8 retentions and it really gives Blues a decent addition to the core squad of 24.

Faces from last season; Prowse, Newman, Tupai, Litchfield, Callum Burns, Dani Long-Martinez, Ethan Grayson and Josh Gillespie.

In addition to these players, we are pleased to welcome Bedford School’s Kayde Sylvester and fellow back row option Duane Willemsen

Highly respected ex-Pirates player and now assistant forward coach Chris Morgan has left the club to take up an academy coaching role with premiership side Worcester Warriors.
Chris who made over 200 appearances for the pirates including 4 seasons as captain and has made a very impressive start to his coaching career will be greatly missed down at the Mennaye.

You mean the type of Jersey pack that regularly produced players who moved up to the premiership and often gained international caps - doesn't sound too dreadful to me.

Exactly my point 🤦🏻‍♂️ … the best pack in the division! As a Jersey fan I would have thought that would sound dreadful to you!

With respect to London Welsh, they won promotion by way of the ridiculous play off system that enables a team finishing fourth across the season to win by an agregate score, so I can't imagine they were anything like prepared for what was to follow.
