What happened to the good old fashioned word 'substitute'? Now it's 'finishers' and 'impact players'? Everyone's ego needs to be massaged!

I agree. Subs or replacements was just fine.

I’m glad to see Marcus Smith is getting his chance. I think he could be the first choice England ten for many years once he breaks through.
Quite a few players there I’m not familiar with, as I don’t watch a lot of Premiership. I’m interested to see who makes an impression.

Would Love to see Harry Thacker get a shot , I know he’s just come back from injury but he’s a class Hooker and well deserves a chance.

Like last week with Jamie Blamire making his debut, it'll be great to see Adam Radwan make his first start for England and knowing I have been fortunate enough to watch him play multiple times when he was a prolific try scorer for Mowden.

He's been brilliant for the Falcons and hope he scores a try or two tomorrow.

Marcus Smith has been called up to the Lions.
I think he is a very exciting talent. I’m glad he is English.

Because of the opposition, I thought Adam had a good chance of scoring a try, so a hat-trick surpassed my expectations and high hopes.

He had a great game and it wouldn't surprise me if he's in the England 23, whether starting or a substitute/finisher, for the autumn internationals.

Equally, Jamie played extremely well and it's strange to think, after a hat-trick for his country, he probably won't be the first choice hooker for Newcastle's Premiership opener later this year.

I'm really pleased for Marcus Smith, a talented playmaker and attacking threat, to be called to the Lions touring squad. It was great to see the moment when he received the news and see what it meant to him and the rest of the England squad after the game.

I like the fact he thought he was in trouble.
I am sure we have all had that feeling when the boss asks to speak to us.

Possibly the original poster thought we would all praise our former players.
Perhaps it was just in the wrong place.
