My understanding is that it'll be tacked onto the end, so we can all just book holidays now and leave the rfu to stew in their ongoing incompetence.
(Slightly tongue-in-cheek, but it gets me that way).

No news anywhere.
Yes, just tacked on the end. Our season tickets guarantee two home pool matches - which means groups of 5 & 6 asduming we only play each team once. I'd expect details to be given out by HQ in about February, on current form. After all, who there cares if dupporters need to plan travel?

Any news on the cup competition and dates? My season ticket said that it includes 2 cup pool matches and the quarterfinal (if applicable), but I don't know what the competition actually is, or when it would be? Given how short the season is, is it just tacked onto the end?

Well, it sounds as if you'll have to wait a while. I don't think they're going to pull anything exciting out of the bag. I did see that the Coventry season ticket offers two guaranteed home cup matches. To get that for all teams requires groups of at least 5, so I suspect it will be two groups, one of five, one of six, with the top two from each group going through to semis and a final Edited by OldNick - 29 Jul 2021 at 11:16 |

I simply cannot wait to see the content of the so called Cup competition !!!! All National League clubs already have fixtures, so once again it looks like a cobbled together amalgam of Championship sides.

Yes, any team that has a bye should have a home game over that period!

The league season is short because there are only 11 teams, and they cant think beyond 2 matches, one at each venue.

Do we think that the season is short to help the winner recruit?

I think the cost of taking a squad to Ireland with an overnight stay is crazy with no funding.

To some extent it is a pity that you could not recreate a British and Irish Cup with the 6 Scottish semi-pro sides, the Welsh Premiership sides and the Irish Province's A sides.

It is much better for us not to have a derby game, as it would be a sell out whoever we play.

Good points.
League runs in a block. Reserve weekends (CoVid friendly?). A pity Bedford don’t have a derby over Christmas. Cup competition at end of season…argh hopefully that’s the last one. |

Looking forward to new beginnings.
