7 from 7 and amazing spirit up the hill today in the second half - Big credit Wharfedale, who are a good side and fought well, but we seem to be ticking boxes in many departments

Looks like I might be at least 50% right. Still a long way to go.

Wonders will never cease , for once in our long association I have to agree with Sid James .
Along with Fylde, Rotherham and Sedgley Park are most probably the strongest teams in this league, and I would hazard to guess the only 3 teams who would jump at the chance of gaining promotion this season to N1.

I didn't say that Hull or Stourbridge are not 'pretty good sides'. I made no comment about either. I simply believe that Sedgley Park and Rotherham are the two best teams in N2N. Time will tell.

Thanks, I dont agree. Hull should have really beaten Stourbridge and had they, they would be 8 from 8 - I think that means they are a pretty good side

How do you know they are the 2 best teams in the league until you have seen all? I don't believe you have played Hull or Stourbridge yet

Cheers Sedge, It's always a pleasure to host a tradtional rugby club committe, with traditional rugby club values. Also, nice to see the Rotherham lads again. It is a great compliment to our hospitality that they wanted to join us. Enjoyed seeing your half-backs yesterday. Your 10 could make drop-goals fashionable again! We have now lost to the best two teams in the league by only a score. Still a long way to go.

After watching the Hull v Harrogate match yesterday, despite the final score, I struggle to understand why Harrogate have had such a poor start to the season. Their pack were big and strong and and their backs were keen to run the ball.
If they continue to perform like they did yesterday then I see them rising up the league table before too long.

On the whole Sedge deserved this away day win. They needed to dig deep when the pressure came on, but on the day going forward we just had the edge. Two good sides. Right G&T time. All the best ST Edited by Sedge Tiger - 23 Oct 2021 at 16:49 |
