Correct about Tom Pittman KB, fly-half who signed for us in Sept from Scottish Super 6 side Boroughmuir Bears... Rory Pitman is back in Wales but no longer playing, a short burst of Google research reveals: |

Really pleased for Rory - such a genuine nice guy, who fought some demons and won his battle with mental health.

HT at the Bay, Nott'm have picked up a TBP & lead the Exiles 31-7. LS took the lead early on, had a yellow mid-way through the half & then another man binned right on HT...

Sounds like a good game at the Bay. Scottish are improving, albeit from a very low base - they ran The Pirates very close last time out and played some very good rugby.

Pretty awful referring decision to start the Bedford Pirates game. Bedford kick through and tackle pirates just in front of their try line. Ball comes loose, Bedford think they’ve scored, ref gives goal line drop out. It’s either a Bedford try or a 5m scrum as we weren’t held up and they clearly fielded the ball before the goal line.
First scrum after and pirates demolish the blues scrum earning 3 points. Doesn’t bode well for rest of game…

Oh dear, Pirates have just scored through a rolling maul - cue Bedford gripes about 'winning ugly' etc

HT Pirates (2 tries) 18 - 24 (BP) Blues
Blues have had 1 yellow and a red and Pirates 1 yellow. Pirates no. 1 play for their backs so far is to join the maul from which 2 out of 3 attempts have resulted in tries. Blues have scored 2 tries from runs and chips through from 50m, a mess of a 22m drop out from Pirates and then a sidestepping run from Adamson.
