Nottingham 5 - 0 London Scottish - dead cert
Pirates 5 - 2 Bedford - fixture of the week
Richmond 2 - 2 Ampthill - difficult to call
Hartpury 2 - 5 Doncaster - think this could be a battle royale
Ealing 5 - 0 Jersey  - I cannot see Jersey getting any points on the league table from this game but hope they prove me completely wrong.
Onward and Upwards C'mon Donny!

Not sure what impact the Premiership Cup will have on this week’s line-ups. We can expect a few of our Chiefs D/R forwards to have been recalled and I assume that some of the Blues’ phalanx of Saints D/R/s will be travelling back up the M1 instead of setting out for the delights of an Autumnal Penwith.

Nottingham 5-0 London Scottish. I cannot see this being anything other than a home banker.
Cornish Pirates 4-1 Bedford. This is a tricky one and I think the weather will play a big part. If the ball is wet, then the Pirates will wear the Bedford pack down. But if it remains dry, the dangerous Bedford backs might make it a close game.
Richmond 1-4 Ampthill. I see this being a very close game but I am hoping Ampthill will be fresh and lean after two weeks off to secure the win.
Hartpury 1-4 Doncaster. Almost impossible to call and will depend on which Hartpury team turns up, but I think the full-time professionals at Doncaster will rule the day.
Ealing 5-0 Jersey. Ealing have now settled and anything at their own ground should be a five point banker.
Always trying to stay bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Nottingham 5 - 1 London Scottish - Scottish were far more competent in their last outing  but I cant forget the century Ealing put on them.
Pirates 5 - 0 Bedford - Not the result I want due to the table, but Pirates too good at home.
Richmond 4 - 1 Ampthill - Richmond unlikely to be as affected by the Prem cup "competition".
Hartpury 1 - 4 Doncaster - Hartpury falling off the pace a bit as Donny gains form.
Ealing 5 - 0 Jersey - Ealing getting bolstered by more Kiwi signing showing up. I wxpect them to hold hime serve.

Nottingham 4-1 London Scottish - Exiles improving but Notts to win by 4-5 points
Pirates 5 - 0 Blues - At home Pirates forwards to dominate
Richmond 4 - 1 Ampthill - Should be a cracking close game but at home Mond by a handful of points
Pury 1 - 4 Donny - This could go either way but I fancy Donny to just edge it.
Ealing 1-4 Jersey - Ealing obvious favourites but Jersey defence & forwards should give them the best contest since their loss to Pirates so I hope for an away win. In my dreams I see a tight game with GT coming off the bench to score a winning try in the last few minutes. I predict 4 yellow cards (2 each side) and expect a 6-2 split on the Jersey bench and quality singing on the way back to Heathrow.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Bedford Blues starting XV:

15. Rich Lane (C), 14. Pat Tapley, 13. Jamie Elliott, 12. Will Maisey, 11. Dean Adamson, 10. Louis Grimoldby, 9. Alex Day; 1. Corrie Barrett, 2. Jack Hughes, 3. Ed Prowse, 4. Jordan Onojaife, 5. Alex Woolford, 6. Luke Frost, 7. Bailey Ransom, 8. Tui Uru

Bedford Blues Replacements:

16. Josh Pieterse, 17. Joey Conway, 18. Osman Dimen, 19. Oli Stedman, 20. Joe Atkinson, 21. Jake Garside, 22. Matt Worley, 23. Andre Robson

As expected, practically none of the Saints players available. We have 3 hookers injured atm so with Marshall on Saints duty there is no hooker on the bench and we’ll be hoping Hughes does the 80. A couple of odd selections as we’ve decided to play a tighthead at loosehead and I can’t fathom why Atkinson is on the bench. It’s not a very mobile back row with 2nd rows playing 6 and a converted 2nd row at 7.

Nottingham      5 - 0 London Scottish still not impressed with tenants
Cornish Pirates 5 - 0 Bedford reading what Bluesman11 said
Richmond         5 - 0 Ampthill Mond after an awful display against Doncaster to show some pride
Hartpury          1 - 4 Doncaster  not sure on this one
Ealing              5 - 1 Jersey I expect Jersey have enough quality to get at least 1 point

That doesn't look positive for the Blues when they are going up against one of the most competitive teams in the league.

What happens if an injury occurs to your hooker - uncontested scrums? I thought Teams had to field experienced front row players on the bench? Something about limiting the potential for inexperienced players being injured....

Ealing side to face Jersey - Quite a lot of continuity here, which I'm always a fan of. A bit surprised to see Northcote-Green starting. I thought that Digby was excellent at 6, but he did seem to be quite sore in the last mach, so perhaps injured. Also, I liked Gordon at 12. Bench with 6 forwards and 2 backs, so a bit risky there again. I suspect that Ealing will still win.

1. James Gibbons

2. Shaun Malton

3. Lewis Thiede

4. Bobby De Wee

5. James Cannon

6. Max Northcote-Green

7. Simon Uzokwe

8. Rayn Smid

9. Craig Hampson

10. Steven Shingler

11. Luke Daniels

12. Reuben Bird-Tulloch

13. Max Bodilly

14. Charlie Walker

15. David Johnston

Replacements

16. Jan-Henning Campher

17. Dylan Smith

18. Kyle Whyte

19. Simon Linsell

20. Len Massyn

21. Jordan Burns

22. Craig Willis

23. Malon Al-Jiboori

Nottingham 4 - 0 London Scottish - might be closer than many think
Pirates 5 - 2 Bedford - Should be a great battle . .  home advantage
Richmond 0 - 5 Ampthill - Ampthill improving and quality bench, key injuries hitting Richmond
Hartpury 4 - 1 Doncaster  - I am gambling here, depends how many DRs Hartpury have
Ealing 5 - 0 Jersey  - Home advantage
Run with it

We have 3 props on the bench and I’m guessing Josh Pieterse who is listed at 16 can cover hooker in an emergency. We had one other game where Hughes was our only available hooker and he played the 80 with Pieterse an unused sub at 16.

Looking at saints preview, Reece Marshall isn’t actually playing and is listed under the injured players so presumably picked up an injury last week in Prem Cup. So we’ve got a bit of a crisis at hooker with 4 injured.

Always a bonus when you have a prop who can play across the three - cheers for the update and good luck at the weekend

The Knights are taking this one seriously - they have travelled down today to stop in a Hotel so that they are refreshed and ready to play tomorrow. I fancy Knights will still take this one but it will be quite a battle I suspect - although I will be very happy if we have a runaway victory....

Is the Jersey 22 Rory Pittman, or another Pittman? If not where is he, still at Doncaster?
