Not strictly Championship but interesting to see the centres are all ex Blues players who clocked up 267 appearances and 485 points for us.
Gloucester - Twelvetrees & Atkinson Wasps - Le Bourgeois & Bassett

Especially poignant given the Glos centres are England internationals. |

and Moyle was a product of Penzance and Newlyn RFC Mini/Junior section (as were Jack Nowell, both Cowan-Dickie brothers and Tom Hendrickson). Moyle was not snaffled by Exeter but was completely developed at The Pirates. Dan Frost is another player who came to The Pirates from Taunton (having been rejected by, I think, Northampton academy, then turned into a hooker from being a back rower. In other words, these players would never have emerged if it wasn't for the Championship. This is probably true of many others from other Championship clubs. |

Billy Twelvetrees played for Leicester Lions before joining Bedford, so we claim bragging rights there lol.

Don't forget the club's further down the pyramid, where these and thousands of others over the years were first introduced to the game. Without their efforts, where would the top two flights of English rugby get the majority of their players? At least Championship clubs get some funding!

Think he might have been a Haywards Heath junior - so you may have lost those bragging rights. |

Le Bourgeois - a deep seated name in the heart of Bedfordshire that one The Blues. Think that we will claim that one, along with the Jersey Juggernaut Matt Banahan...nice try though. |

Not exactly a claim but a statement that all 4 final destination after leaving us was the Premiership and they all face each other. Can’t imagine that has happened before.
