Makes sense.
If 10 teams are required for the new structure above... The top two in each of the 4 x Premier Leagues plus the 2 x Best 3rd placed teams across the same 4 Premier Leagues go up... I think LSE Prem is in a very good place to 'take 3 teams up'.
There are various quotes/confirmation on the shape of the new level 2 across other threads on this forum (particularly Nat 2 threads). |

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

If it's picked by the RFU old boys club on geography, that's North Walsham and Blackburn out of the running then...... |

Blimey. If the rfu boys pick who they like to go up, we will definitely go into farce.

Absolutely no idea, however not to do so opens up all sorts of legal issues. Not sure the RFU know themselves (or even if they are the right body to decide) |

When did they confirm that best two 3rd places teams would be promoted ? I thought they reserved the right to pick last to on geography if need be and only top 2 in each league are confirmed as being promoted.

Again, depends if Aurigny have flights at the right times. I know they have the proper jet (not those twin props) working the Gatwick route so there will certainly be more flights from Gatwick. I think it's probably just easier if the RFU stick to the current arrangements.

For the purposes of mileage Guernsey are treated as being based at Gatwick Airport. However this is in a North/South level 4 split. With the advent of SW and SE as 2 of the 3 level 4 divisions, I see no reason why Guernsey could not be treated as being based at Exeter or Bristol airports rather than Gatwick. My reasoning for this - they are not geographically in the SE (or SW) so should be moved to whichever of the 2 logically has less teams. |

Depends if they treat their home ground geographically or at Gatwick. I'd assume common sense would say SE because I am sure Guernsey themselves would fight tooth and nail to avoid the SW.

Correct Surrey Rugby that's the way it's looking - as regards who goes where a lot might depend on where the RFU (Or NCA?) place Guernsey SW or SE

If 10 go up. Then 3 from SE. 3 from SW. 2 from midlands and 2 from the North. In the SE. As long as they win probably 2 remaining games. Both Dorking and NW will go up. Dorking can even do 3rd place with one 5 point win. And still go up.

If my maths are correct the following clubs are guaranteed promotion from Level 5
Midlands Prem - Newport(Salop), Sheffield North Prem - Otley, Preston Grasshoppers South East Prem - Sevenoaks South West Prem - Exeter Uni, Old Reds(Bristol) So 3 more places still up for grabs, maybe 4 dependant on you know what

Erm...... let's get the maths right. Yes they have been promoted but at this stage only on the basis that they have already attained enough points to secure at least one of the two best 3rd placed finishes (More than the potential 3rds in the Midlands and the North are able to achieve)
So yes many congratulations on your promotion but not champions, or indeed runners up....... Yet!

It was not the cricket score we were expecting yesterday at the lane. CS turned up and saved our last home game of the season, easily a thousand people packed the lane and CS gave a good account for themselves
Was speaking to one of their supporters and the RFU had told them they must be competitive and they were exactly that! I hope their club secretary is ok as he was taken ill at the end of the game, he gave a great speech at the lunch, hope he has a speedy recovery

I note your explanation makes no mention of DR players - presumably there is a slight difference. 'England Academy players who haven't played for a club before transfer deadline day can only join if approved by RFU Head of Academies' - this loophole has already been used by a team at level 4. At the end of the day, it is never good to see a club go under, so the fact CS are still playing must be for the greater good. Hopefully they will be able to sort themselves out for next season. |

A quick search turns up, "Loan Players 14.6.5 An application for registration of a Loan Player will not be accepted where: (a) in respect of Clubs at Level 2 (Championship) and below, the applicant Club is more than two Levels below the level of the loaning/parent Club; and (b) in respect of Clubs at Level 1 (Premiership) the applicant Club is more than one Level below the level of the loaning/parent Club. This does not apply to Loan Players who are being be loaned to a Club in the Levels above the loaning/parent Club, subject to Regulation 14.3.5." That's in respect of adult male players. I can't, on a quick search, find anything about Academy players and loans. Restrictions on numbers of loan players, "13.4.4 Loan and England Academy Players A Club may not play or select as a replacement or substitute in a Match more than the number of Players set out below:... (d) Level 4 and below: four players from another Club of which no more than three shall be Loan Players and the others (up to the maximum of four) must be England Academy Players under the age of 24 as at 1 September 2021. After the Transfer Deadline, only those England Academy Players who have already played or been selected as a replacement or substitute in a League or Cup Match for the Club’s first XV prior to the Transfer Deadline will be permitted to be selected in a League or Cup Match for the Club’s first XV, unless otherwise approved by the RFU Head of Academies." |

I think it may depend on the age of the DR/Loan player - certainly First year Premiership Academy players are allowed to play in Nat2 which is 3 levels away from the mother club. |

I thought you could only loan players 2 leagues away from the mother club So that would be at Nat 2 level not Regional Prem league Unless the RFU have stepped in to help Stags get a side out
