Cambridge have announced two new props, Seb Brownhill (Bishop Stortford) and Matt Collins (Blackheath, formerly Ampthill) to join the squad alongside Billy Walker, Harry Morley and Henry Peck.

Our front row was lacking reserves. Hopefully, we will have enough for three squads each week.
Though, we are waiting to see the 2nd team fixture list.

Apparently I slightly jumped the gun with the information that our props were staying on, though all three had told me that in May at the dinner.

It was officially announced they were staying, along with our three hookers are staying Brownlie, Preistlie and Lewis, this afternoon.

Chinnor haven't announced any new signings yet, only those leaving the club, and those who have been retained https://www.chinnor-rfc.com/news/senior-squad-update-2707154.html

Mose confirm their Senior Academy players for 2022/23: Jamal Gask-Clarke (wing), Ollie Jones (centre), Gonçalo Costa (fly-half), Jamie Constantine (prop), Jack English (back row), Akron Rayworth-Brooks (hooker), Joe Farmer (prop/lock), Ollie Southgate (back row).

All are EQP apart from Costa, who is Portuguese.

They will train with the 1st team squad, while playing rugby with Moseley Oak or on loan to other local clubs, with the aim of breaking into the 1st XV match day squad during the season.

They are two exciting and very welcome additions to the squad.

Pascoe is particularly important as we, because Euan McKirdy has left, need a starting-calibre scrum-half. Based on his age and experience, I think Pascoe could give us exactly what is required in that role.

It's also good to see that prop/hooker Carl Guest has re-signed for the 2022/23 season. I hope he can link with Alfie Barron and George Shannon (or another front row combination) for a settled and reliably good unit – both starting and on the bench – for next season.

Brandon Asher-Wood has re-signed with Mowden.

The South African has made 63 appearances for the club since signing in 2017, and goes into his fifth full season in the North East.

Rosslyn Park are spending heavily! It’s good they don’t need to worry about the salary cap.

RP have gone for the jugular this year, if they fail to win Nat 1 by a canter I will be surprised . . they have built ( bought, no issue here) a squad good enough for the Championship. I am sure they wont have it easy but I expect them to be well clear by Xmas.

Mowden have re-signed George Shannon. After being injured at the start of last season, he established himself as the starting hooker and played in 22 games.

Mowden have signed Ali Ledingham, a flyhalf who can also cover the back three, from the Belgian side Dendermonde.

Interestingly, Dendermonde were recently coached by Joe Cain, who is Mowden's forwards coach.

Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce the signing of fly Matt Minogue for the upcoming National One campaign. The Australian fly half joins from Scottish Super 6 side Ayrshire Bulls. Minogue’s arrival takes the tally of summer signing of backs to five, following fellow backs Ali Ledingham, Callum Pascoe, Morgan Passman and Henry Hadfield.
