starting in the West

No surprise that Redruth have the longest travel and their average is more than Clifton's maximum.
Also, no surprise that Redruth is the longest trip for everyone, except Redruth, Barnstaple and Exeter.
Their longest trip is Loughborough,  or for Exeter apparently Leicester Lions.

If my sums are right, Redruth's average journey is nearly 100 km less than last year.
Average one way journey in Kilometres - I forgot to tell Google to use miles.

Redruth     344
Barnstaple    233
Exeter University    209
Loughborough Students    195
Leicester Lions 191
Newport Salop 181
Hinckley    179
Luctonians    161
Hornets    151
Stourbridge    148
Old Redcliffians    145
Bournville     142
Dings Crusaders    140
Clifton    136

Other leagues will follow when I have some more time.

For travel calculations Guernsey is based at Gatwick.

Just had an email from YRFU re: 2ndXV Merit Tables for next season.
It rightly states that there will be opportunities for the 1st & 2nd XV's to travel together but they are leaving it up to the Clubs to organise. Quite correct.
It also states that the 1stXV fixtures will not be out until 16th June!

East

North Walsham 222
Bury St Edmunds 161
Worthing 141
Canterbury 135
Henley 130
Old Albanian 108
Rochford Hundred 103
Westcliff 101
Barnes 95
Gatwick Airport 94
Tonbridge Juddians 94
Dorking  93
Blackheath 86
Sevenoaks 84

Though, all have the trip from Gatwick to Guernsey on top of that.
Not going to Redruth does cot a lot of travel.
Ignoring the trip to Guernsey, North Walsham is the longest trip for everyone.

All numbers one way in Km

I have just completed some work ahead of next season and our total mileage (excluding Guernsey) of around 1500 is less than 3 of our away trips in Nat 1 last season and several are under an hour. Better not let the wife know as she will expect me home early ££
