Mate, you missed an absolute belter. Very high standard from both teams. Jersey were in scoreboard control in the first half, but the Jersey YC just before HT gave Ealing a toe back in the game and boy did they make Jersey pay with scores either side of HT.
The officiating was of a very high standard as well, although I would love to ask ‘sir’ why he didn’t issue a second YC for repeated infringements close to the Ealing line having already given one following a warning. He went for a second warning instead. The game was probably better for only the 1, but it still doesn’t necessarily make it right.
Anyway, I can’t wait for the league game. The league may have been decided by then, but it will be an occasion nevertheless

At the moment you would expect the best 2nd placed team to come from Pool 1, however, one slip up by either Ealing or Jersey will open the door to a host of other teams. Cov will still have eyes on winning the group in Pool 2, but will need some help along the way. In Pool 3 Pirates have 1 foot I. The semis, but The Mob could be the team to benefit should either of the top 2 in P1 slip up.
Being realistic, there are currently 8 teams I. The mix for 4 semi slots…. All still to play for

No TB - only 4 qualify for SFs on 1st w/e May: pool winners + best-placed runner-up

Thank you for the correction. Blues need 2 wins then against Cov and Knights to stand a chance and probably a bit of help from Scottish.

So if both Ealing & Jersey qualify for the Semi Finals do they play each other again at that stage for a place in the final or do they play the other qualifiers?

CC I'm sure you realise that the SF qualifiers aren't yet confirmed, let alone how the four of them will be paired. The regs indicate 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd, although there have been adjustments in previous years to keep pool rivals apart in such situations.

So, the standings with 2 matches each to play:

A: ET 16, Jsy 15, Nott 6, Hart 6

B: Pirates 20, Amps 11, Ravers 6, Mond 5

C: Donny 15, Cov 11, Blues 9, LS 5

Pool C is tight - might come down to BPs and even pts diff

I'm sure they were well represented "upstairs" with the proper people but there was also a really good bunch in the corner by the big screen.

Yes. There were a few and I hope that they have enjoyed a true Jersey weekend.
We don’t care on the numbers, everyone is welcome!!

Last night I think we were giving the Blues 1st team players a rest and gave game time to fringe and 11 young Saints in total. Even though it

With ET missing a conversion to win it at the end it could not have been closer. ET still top the group but both teams will have a good chance of making the semi finals. Great entertainment and a few cracking tries for each team. Let's hope the game in April is just as good.

For me the result is just as the ET third try came from a clear push on the original high ball. Apparently the Lino called it but the ref didn’t hear the call.
Don’t get me wrong. This was a fantastic game of rugby played at the highest standard. Seriously good game.
Oh! And there were a few try of the season contenders. For me, Jersey’s third gets it

Was it not for the deliberate k/o Islander? Or was it a seperate offense?
I think it was the ruck.  The knock on was an advantage but whatever happened in the ruck resulted in the YC I think.

Cracking game from both teams who were both really going for it and it could have gone either way.
