It helps avoiding reliance on “bigger clubs” which can come back to bite you.
Patience and long term investment in local players is the way to survive. It is less than a decade that Lucs have been at the dizzy league heights that they a are now, but they have made the right investments to stay there and have a base of local players, not imported mercenaries.
Some sense in that

Just posted on the Stourbridge website.

An update for you following the recent club announcement that discussions had been taking place between the Atlas Group and SRFC Committee regarding a financial and infrastructure support package for the whole club. The discussions are aligned with a view to a potential name change and ground migration for the First XV only, whilst they remain an integral part of Stourbridge RFC.

Talks are continuing between Stourbridge & Atlas whilst our Committee are engaging with the various playing sections to ascertain what financial and infrastructure support would ‘look like’ to them.

The priority for Atlas currently is to ensure their due diligence on finalising the purchase of Sixways, however in the meantime a business plan is being discussed between Atlas and our Committee with a view to making a presentation to our members in the coming weeks, to consider if the proposals put forward suit our club and its members.

If there are any further questions please address them in writing to any member of the Stourbridge RFC Committee and we will look to address them. In the meantime we will update the website and social media with any significant developments.

Stourbridge Rugby Club Committee

I understand that the meeting tomorrow is to merge Stourbridge Lions 2022 RFC Ltd with Stourbridge RFC Ltd subject to RFU regulations and the members agreement. No mention of Atlas or Sixways for this SGM
