Sedge 12-0 Huddersfield: Half-time here at Park Lane.
The pitch is heavy and wet which is having a spoiler effect on both teams. Sedge were quick out of the blocks early on and got to find catch and drives tries both going to hooker Adam Mallinson. It’s not all been one way traffic for Sedge as Huddersfield for a long periods battered the Tigers line but we weathered the storm. As stated conditions have been a big factor for both outfits. A fumble at a critical moment by Huddersfield on the Sedge try line was costly. It should have been points for them. Sedge went back up field but could not take any advantage. Looking forward to the second forty even-though we are playing up the hill. All the best ST

The scoreline would suggest a predictable Full-time score for Sedge but that would not be the case. Huddersfield had so much possession and territory in the second half they will rue the fact they could not get more points and they would have deserved it too. The final try at the end for Sedge was a sucker punch for Huddersfield but it ended a great phase of running rugby by the Tigers. Sedge typically resolute in defence but with ball in hand very incisive. The set piece line out being a very potent option indeed. Great effort by Huddersfield and we wish them well for the rest of their season. Safe journey home and have a great night. All the best ST
