Exeter loan to Pirates (ruck.co.uk)

"Of the 12 heading to the Mennaye, seven of them have previously featured for the Pirates in competitive action. They are Ben Grubb, Matt Johnson, James Kenny, Jacob Morris, Max Norey, Arthur Relton and Cory Teague.

New faces on the move include Iwan Jenkins, Dan John, Fin Richardson and Cornish duo Harry Hocking and Frankie Nowell.

Baxter said: “We have a fantastic relationship with the Pirates and over the years we’ve taken the opportunity to send guys down to Penzance to not only game much-needed game time, but give them that experience of playing senior rugby at a decent level.

“For both clubs it’s been a real ‘win-win’ and you only have to look to last season where Tommy Wyatt went down there, got himself in the starting line-up, played very well, before we brought him back and he featured for ourselves in the Premiership and Europe." "

Matt Cornish's return to Ealing has been confirmed finally (I saw him at the ground training when I ran past a couple weeks ago). He is now, I believe, the 6th hooker on our books. He is only 26, but already has 88 first team appearances for Ealing (debuting as a 19 year old) before going to London Irish for 3 seasons, appearing 47 times. He was a real crowd favorite before he left, so glad to see him back, and hope he can get some game time. There were other people I didn't recognize, who also haven't been announced yet either.

Will Brown from Jersey to Scottish.

Holsey came from Worcester part way through the season. Did ok but was more back up in the end as probably wasn’t as good as we were expecting/hoping. Needs more game time to develop and will probably do a good job in ND1.

Only 6 hookers!? What if 5 of them get injured? I think if Ealing want to push on they should be looking at having no less than 7

Premiership sides tend to have 5 or 6 to provide a sustainable squad for first team, A team & academy.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Betts is a bit injury prone. Was out injured most if not all of last season.

Billy Twelvetrees is interviewed at Ealing Trailfinders sporting his new short haircut. He mentions his Championship debut at Goldington Rd aged 19.
