You know it’s not your day when the ref is a perfect blocker off a line out move and a try is scored. That said Chinnor played very well while Club where still on the M40. A day when you think it couldn’t get worse but did. Wasn’t a bad day at the office more like a week.

Club never got going against a high-intensity Chinnor who out-fought Club in all aspects of the game. The desire of Chinnor was greater and Club kept kicking from hand into the midfield area, giving possession to Chinnor's backs all too frequently, instead of going through the hard-yard phases; making Chinnor defend. On this form, Chinnor look unbeatable.

A report on today's match between Chinnor and Blackheath is attached below. I thought this would be a very tight match but Chinnor totally dominated. I don't know if this was because Chinnor played extremely well, or Blackheath were very poor, but Club rarely threatened and only some very good defending kept the score down. On loan Leicester Tiger winger Joe Browning looks to be an exceptional player and far too good for National League One. Hopefully Chinnor can keep hold of him all season ! |
