I can assure you all this is not uncommon. Not epidemic levels

In my opinion u11 is just too young, trying to keep a game flowing when two of the ball boys decide to nip off for a burger or go to the toilet together with out telling any one.

I in no way condone what the player did. He was rightly punished.

The ball boy must have been told to do it , it not like it’s seen on TV

Over my to many years in the technical area. I have seen.

1. The ball deliberately thrown on the wet floor.
2. Deliberately handled to prevent a quick throw in.
3. Swapped with a smooth ball at many off our line outs.
4. Only the opponents / home team ball collected.

Exactly my point the other day.

We had a team in the Championship dipping the ball in a bucket on every line out of our throw Confused

You would have thought the match officials would have intervened

Wasn't that during Covid that they were doing things like that?

It was a pre-Covid live-stream match at a coastal venue a long way from anywhere (AAAR!) - the officials put a stop to it as soon as it was reported to them.

It was pure coincidence that the need to disinfect the ball in a soapy liquid happened at evey Ealing lineout. LOL It was reported a stopped by the ref.

Clearly the Cambridge 2 is out of order, but I cannot believe the Ampthill club has not been severely sanctioned. A ball-boy would not do that unless he had been instructed, I suggest.

Yes I agree WEvans I find it hard to believe Ampthill would have instructed their ballboys to do that
