Another Great Season - my review club by club
I do hope that Scrumtime will be smarter than me - he always is

Cambridge
Deserved champions - huge party tomorrow - ex players flying in

Sale
Amazing side - took it to the wire

Rams
Amazing side - took it to the wire

Rosslyn Park
I have been a member and sponsor since 1964 when I first attended a game as the Shene Grammar
school Under12s captain - that was the nearest Grammar school to Rosslyn Park - my head master instructed me to attend. We had many England Internationals. It was bliss. In those days in the sixties i also attended the Oval to see Freddie Trueman take his 200th test wicket - Neil Hawke caught by Colin Cowdrey in the slips. Surrey was my club.

Many years later its very different - Andy Ripley sadly died - but the memories live on,
So many trips to great clubs such as Cinderford, Doncaster, Jersey, Mounts Bay, Redruth, Stourbridge, Wharfedale etc
and many more where the visiting committee have tolerated my nostalgia.

Park are an iconic club

Afer I invest 27 million pound next season we will go from 4th to third
If you're not on the pitch you can't win the game

Ranger very funny, I like it a lot:

But Joking aside the amount of money thats been thrown at that squad over the last 4 seasons to still be in National one is a joke. Its a good job the advertising boards are paying off!

As we always jest between us, to much of the city slicker image, very much like Quins in the 80's, till thats sorted out, cannot see Park progressing, too many other clubs want it more Park just expect it!

Summer well sir..

Are the London Broncos going to play at Rosslyn Park full time, or is this a short term agreement?

Their sugar daddy owner who is keeping the club alive, will in time fall out with another landlord- this time AFC Wimbledon. The ground is probably big enough for the amount of people who want to watch RL in the capital.

A good revenue earner for RPFC?

I remember the good old days, Bedford playing Rosslyn Park, Blackheath.

Maybe as the RFU enjoy tinkering with everything, National One becomes Premiership 3, and with Premiership 2 during 2024/2025 play a cup competition. I would include Prem 1 but they will be bored after a season of playing Championship clubs and have a Cup Comp in a hybrid event with Rugby League Super League.
The older I get, the more the RFU leave me confused.

Goldington Road used to be a tough venue to visit, I remember playing against a "Bedford XV" their second row opposite me tried to poke my eyes out for taking him to the cleaners in the lineout(pre lifting days). He apologised and bought me a beer afterwards and I apologised for standing on his gonads in a ruck........happy days.

Looking forward to renewing our old rivalry once again PR. Ex Shene boy myself a few (but not many) years later than you.

I’m not expecting us to bounce straight back up, standards seem very high in N1.

Summer well all.
