My ageing brain suggests to me that earlier in the season, the Oaks had some problems with their pitch ? I can't recall the nature of them. I mention this as I wonder what sort of surface we might encounter on Saturday ? Any thoughts from Oaks posters please ? Apologies if I have this completely wrong.

Sevenoaks pitch was absolutely fine when we played on it in November. There were still signs of the major works that had taken place in the late summer which caused our game to be called off. The dead ball area at one end leaves a little to be desired due to the slight (?) slope but it didn’t come into play. Lovely large dressing rooms so all in all a pleasant experience much better than I had been informed

200 miles roundtrip to watch. Had a walk on the pitch. The correct decision, just many hours too late.
