Same at DMP today... officials missed 2 red cards, tip tackle and forearm smash and numerous high tackles, unfortunately good refs at this level are very few and far between!!!!

Cliffie has been starting a full back for a few weeks now I believe? James Williams at 10 for Sale was perhaps just as helpful to us...

Brickfields ticketing: Ground - £15.00 (Fence at pitch-side with limited/exposed "terracing" slightly above ground level) East Stand - £17.00 (tiered standing only, facing prevailing wind, best overall view, all the noise/banter) Grandstand - £19.00 (seated, back to prevailing wind, echo chamber for the East Stand ) All with TV/international spec floodlighting; see website for senior discounts. Pay yer money and take yer choice... "Park" rugby still exists at L3 (no names, no pack drill) where you don't even have a fence to lean on. Some of us can remember next to nought at Billesley Common (450' ASL and bare-a**ed, as I recall), so a fiver for shelter/seating seems fair exchange for protection from the tundra-like weather in winter. And that was in the Champ!

Also bottled it when in open view the RP winger took the legs out from the DMP fullback whilst he was in the air, only gave a penalty when it should have also been a yellow at least.,
In my view It was a poor show from the ref and his assistants. |

I was astonished when there was no card for the tackle when Asher-Wood was taken out in the air. The tip tackle in midfield was clear for everyone to see so I'm bewildered why the ref didn't think it wasn't deserving of a YC.

This isn't a personal attack on any of the refs.I am always frustrated by how passive the ARs are, only giving some input into the game for kicks to touch, goal kicks and when asked for assistance by the referee. The ARs in the Premiership and international games seem to be much more involved in officiating, with games having a 3 man 'crew', giving the referee a better understanding of scrums, the offside line and potential foul play.
There have been games where the offiating has been a talking point, particularly the referee, and it would be better for all involved if it was obvious there were 3 people involved in the decision making and running the game. |

I have been reliably informed that sometimes the referee prefers this and likes to make his own mind up on everything else rather than work as a true 3 man team (I personally don't endorse that as a good thing at all) |

If you haven't anything constructive to add why bother entering the thread? Some serious observations and concerns here following various poor performances from officials around the country and all we get is some fool saying "Get over it!". How helpful. |
