A salutary lesson for all. No doubt it will be ignored by many and the mercenaries will continue to be paid.
Good for nobody and must feel for SL although when they had the money and players they were never the most magmanimous!
Too many big words going for a lie down.

Ps Lucs and Scunny share bottom two places in league above having just gone up. Good luck Bourneville and whoever else fancies their chance!

Unbelievable.... must have been 35 tries!

A try every (approximately) 2.29 minutes.

Did they consider ending the match early?

I've seen it done at level 7 (with the agreement of both captains and the referee of course)

...and the other way, Syston and Derby (both relegated) are 1st and 2nd with 7 / 7 in M1E. The gulf between leagues around this level is getting bigger I think.

I agree, it can't be safe and before long it should be stopped.

Well back to the unpredictable prediction league, it appears at present the the only reliable team currently are Bournville, (I'll resist the current analogy being used they are Bournville plain and simple despite whatever anybody thinks.) Sandbach return to their enigmatic selves after a gigantic performance last week against the Salapions then lose away at the the similarly inexplicable Nuns. Broadstreet similarly unpredictable (well it appears certainly by me Confused) Sheffield win away again at Newport, Pavs continue with their good form while South Leicester to their credit continue to turn a team out every week. The draw obviously kyboshing any chance of a full house but this weeks' Star performer is Richmids with 5 of 7 there were 7 only getting 3 predictions. The league looks like this.

Apparently they went to uncontested scrums, tried to call the game off at half time, were down to 12 men due to injuries but the ref was being assessed and the tries just couldn't be helped from being walked in.
Worthy of a thread of it's own related to player welfare

How in heavens name could a ref be accurately assessed in those circumstances?

Surely, with the agreement of both captains, the game could have been called after 60 minutes.

By sticking to the laws and regulations, he would have got a good assessment - equally how could a referee be assessed in a game where nothing controversial happens and all players play within the laws?

Common sense from Referees when being assessed - pigs might fly!
Nine yellow cards - 3 for the home side - 6 for the winning away side in the game I watched last Saturday with no hassle but some incredibly strange decisions by the man in the middle - no idea of the offside laws and Yes he was being assessed - no doubt by the usual octogenarian well versed in the laws of the 1950's.
I feel sorry for the players who tried to enjoy the game, but were frustrated throughout by the one who thought he was more important than them.
Empathy my hazelnut!
