Essential for player safety but often decisive in close matches. The latest crackdown on "cleaning out breakdowns" without wrapping will be crucial this weekend if properly refereed - particularly if key players are banned for several games for offences.
Dont kick it. Pick it up and GO FORWARD.

Wayne Barnes has just discussed this on the premiership rugby programme, prior to kick-off.
Interesting view

It's going to be much more difficult for officials in The Championship without the benefit of TMOs and endless replays.

Yes, I don’t think we will have the reds as much as it has to be clearly obvious it has happened so the 50:50s that would get done on a video replay won’t in a normal no video ref game.

EVERY game is recorded and assessed afterwards I believe from 3 angles.

Too late to make any difference in the game though and 3 angles isn’t that much and they may be lacking the real close up zooms on rucks.

Clearly you're right about impact in the game TB, but would imagine red-card offences would be highlighted and - if proven - punished with bans, which could swallow up quite a large proportion of a club's remaining games...

In fairness, they'remore interested in seeing which water carriers/coaches/reserves have taken their mask off for 5 seconds
