Mose 21 (0) Sedge 44 (5) FT

At halftime I pointed out the style difference and for the first 20 minutes of the second Mose gave  a master class in forward rugby.  It was not long before this edge got points for the home side and with Sedge going down to 14 things started to look bleak.

Not at all.  Sedges commitment and belief to an aggressive running rugby with aggressive forward play saw them punch ahead by two tries  in that 10 minute yellow card  period. Awesome.  Some incredible rugby followed as the game became safe for Sedge.  With Mose they have an exceptional winger if given space and the chance he will hurt teams.

The result will suggest a good away win but the reality was a great contest of differing styles. On this day saw a positive outcome for Sedge. A wet windy muddy winters day. Maybe a different outcome

Two games  in. Doesn’t mean a thing. Next week the real contenders at Park Lane. This will be a measure.

Have a great night all. The M6 looks beautiful tonight.WinkLOLLOLLOL

All the best

Exceptional result for DMP. It’s still early days (very) looks a competitive league.

Thanks to all at DMP for  the inside edge on Warren Seals. Awesome fly half .

He is actually a scrum half......Well deserved win, no complaints whatsoever.  Will have made no difference to the result but I thought you were lucky not to get a yellow card just before half time for persistent offending in the red zone.

Excellent comeback from Rosslyn Park at the Richmond Athletic ground in searing 32 degree heat with frequent water breaks. Park twice found themselves 14 points adrift which should have been enough for the home side to close down the match. However Park then abandoned the route one tactic of trying to score through their pack when camped repeatedly on the Richmond line and actually used their superior backs to excellent effect. As the game approached the final 30 minutes Richmond started to tire and Park ran in 19 unanswered points to claim the SW London bragging rights. All Park tries were scored when they finally adopted sevens tactics and their two wingers made hay in the sun.

Could be a long season for Sale on this showing. The handling was woeful and the penalty count was at Argentinian levels. They were lucky to hang on to the bonus point.  At least I got to stand under a very shady tree.

Shame they have to rely upon DR's to make an impact.

ST

Good morning
Just for the record I think Sale were the best rugby team we played 2 years ago but they were pipped that year by Caldy, obviously they must have been similar last year but again we’re pipped at the post by forward dominated teams it would appear.
Whether we like it or not Sale 2 years ago had several DRs in their match day squad although they claimed them to be their players pinched by Sharks our game up at Haywood road there were 6 or 7 (memory is vague with age) but it is what it is and probably because of RWC those academy players are unavailable. Without going over old ground I think there is a major flaw in the DR system. It’s not only in N1 but there does seem to be an imbalance on how DRs are allocated to teams

I'm not sure teams get players allocated, Leicester Tigers have an academy and loan out lads for experience of adult rugby, this might give you some info, but basically the players still travel to Leicester, then train with the club they are on loan to and play if the club chooses to use them.

It’s not an allocation, it’s subject to negotiation between the relevant clubs up to a maximum number of D/R/s and loanees.
