@ Hopper
I refereed the final the year before when you beat Broughton Park - I'm sure that both Sanderson brothers and Borthwick played in that match

Watching the Inside Line series it's fairly evident that Jones has developed a bit of a 'Boy's Club' within the England team which quickly needs dismantling to move forward. It's becoming very evident that if Owen Farrell doesn't like you, then you don't get picked.
Tales of Dombrandt being omitted because Jones doesn't like him continues to push that narrative. Time for Jones to put his own inflated ego aside.

Drafting Kirkham lads in at colts level isn’t exactly producing a player

What you might call a mixed year! Not sure what credit can be given for beating Italy, US, Canada or Tonga - all fairly weak. And Australia were pretty hopeless, it seemed to take an age to put them away. That leaves a gritty win over France in the 6N, the first home defeat by Scotland in ages & thrashings in Cardiff & Dublin. And then the fantastic win over SA, definitely the best performance since RWC S-F v NZ. Let's hope the most recent demonstration shows what might be to come in next 2 years...
