I just am unimpressed with posters listing their club’s injury list.

It’s straight off the clubs website to engage with fans to explain why some players they would want to play aren’t playing. I think it’s a lot better being open with fans than not. It’s probably interesting for away opposition and fans if you know certain players aren’t available.

For example Matavesi made an impact last week off the bench, so I was surprised not to see him initially in the squad or maybe starting, to then see he was injured, which also made sense why Makepeace-Cubitt will make his debut.

You were so unhappy that you had to state that you have a flanker from ND2 South. I mean we could say we have a hooker who played Regional 2 Midland East last year. However it is totally irrelevant as he is more than good enough at this level, as I’m sure your flanker is too.

Injuries shouldn't be a real problem when you can bring in players from from your Premier division parent club

How many posts have you made just on this thread and others about exactly the same thing KnightsBoy? Odd behaviour. Unfortunately, despite having an average attendance that is nearly double Doncaster’s, we do not have an owner that will just fork out their personal money to sign ex international players at the end of the career. Therefore, when we have a few injuries in the same position, we do call on a couple of saints players, like the prop playing in the 2nd row tomorrow with 3 of our 4 contracted 2nd rows injured. We have 2 saints players starting tomorrow; if clubs loaning prem bothers you there are a lot easier targets than Bedford! I’ve not checked fully, but how many Exeter/Ealing loanees are there in the pirates team we’re playing tomorrow? I can see at least 3 off the top of my head. (Not a dig on Pirates, just pointing out I don’t understand the vitriol towards Bedford due to fielding 2 DRs - one of which is certainly a step down from our own players).

As Blues points out, he just copies the team sheet from the club website that lists the injured players. How that enrages posters on here I’m not quite sure.

Don't know, I'm sure you can tell me, so despite Bedford having a crowd average of double the knights your team needs to be propped up by the saints to be competitive.

Bedford run a model of break even, tell me how many clubs in the top 2 divisions do that and how many are propped up by a rich person?

With or without the Saints, Blues would be competitive.  However, some younger players are given a chance, which says more about the academy system.  If you look at the Saints team today, they have 7 players in the squad who have Blues experience, so it s a good breeding ground for the Premiership champions.

15 George Furbank (c) - Went to Bedford School
14 James Ramm
13 Tom Litchfield - Was also a Blues mini rugby graduate
12 Rory Hutchinson

11 Tommy Freeman
10 Fin Smith
9 Archie McParland

1 Emmanuel Iyogun
2 Curtis Langdon
3 Elliot Millar Mills
4 Temo Mayanavanua
5 Chunya Munga
6 Josh Kemeny
7 Angus Scott-Young
8 Sam Graham

Replacements:
16 Robbie Smith - Blues player
17 Tom West
18 Trevor Davison
19 Gavin Thornbury – Northampton Saints debut
20 Tom Pearson
21 Henry Pollock
22 Jake Garside

23 Ollie Sleightholme

Juarno Augustus, Emeka Atuanya, Alex Coles, Fraser Dingwall, George Hendy, Callum Hunter-Hill, Tom James, Tom Lockett, Alex Mitchell and Burger Odendaal.

Squadron Leader was right.

Ban all dual reg and loan players.

Players come, pay their subs and play for their chosen club.

Is that too complicated? Confused

I like the clarity where the Premiership  players are clearly shown in the match day squad. Ealing Trailfinders had their fair share of young players from above and especially when we were in National One. The very best was Matt Garvey who eventually captained Bath and I believe made the wider England squad.

He came to Rugby very late but was an acomplished  basketball player. He played at Ealing on a long term loan over at least two seasons and just got better and better. We were blessed with his time at Ealing.

Ambition should be made of sterner stuff.

Even hardened Scottish supporters raising eyebrows of discomfort claiming 10 Quins DRs  in the starting line up today. Great for the players and the parent clubs then it calls into question what's a "proper club".....

10??  That’s ridiculous and makes a mockery of the league competition.

If the “new” tier 2 league is going to be used by Premiership clubs to basically field shadow teams then count me out. Having 10 Premiership loanees in a starting 15 is absolutely disgraceful. It’s not LS’s fault, they are exploiting the rules as any club are entitled to do. However. it makes an absolute mockery of the league and it just proves how little integrity the RFU have got.
